I don't quite get why this trope is called "the war sequence". When I hear "war sequence", I think of a scene where there's thousands of soldiers/warriors/whatevers on each side and they're fighting, buildings are getting destroyed, soldiers, civilians and other important people are getting murdered (if it's in a city or at some important place or something), there's explosions and munition and maybe even flying crafts and/or flying soldiers or maybe the battle consists almost entirely of (space)ships and other crafts.

What I don't picture, is a single person or a few fighting thousands of soldiers or warriors. I can understand how it could take place DURING a battle that's part of a war, but I'm not sure if it truly counts as a "war sequence".

Though I can easily be wrong, I get this feeling like this trope should be named something else.

Used to be called "1000 Heartless Battle" or something like that. I also dislike the change, as "the War sequence" has no Trope Namer.

Trope namers are a bad thing, we're trying to replace them with more easily understood terms.

I think.

Should there be a "War Sequence" redirect?

"Stealing is a crime and drugs is a crime too BUT if you steal drugs the two crimes cancel out and it’s like basically doing a good."
