Considering how many speculative works about the real Anastasia Romanov have her as this, it might be better to address Did Anastasia Survive? as a whole. The question is, would we count that as Real Life, or as Folklore (since Anastasia was eventually proven to have not survived by DNA evidence)? I'm leaning towards Folklore.

Pulled this. Zero Context Example, and has been called into question to boot.

  • The Book of Job in The Bible. Although it is debatable in regards to Job, since his wife is the only one left with him after his children are gone.

Let's just say and leave it at that.

Thread Mode detected. Needs rewriting:

  • Ellen Ripley in Alien was the only surviving crew (other than the cat) who killed the xenomorph. Same goes for Alexa, the heroine in Aliens Vs Predator. Hicks is the only sole survivor of the colonial Marines in Aliens.
    • Hicks is a bad example in Aliens, since he's ultimately one of several survivors. Newt is a better example, Sole Survivor (and Final Girl, no less) for the Xenomorph attack on the colony.
      • Though both are are dead from the ship crashing in Alien 3, leaving (again) only Ripley alive.
