The description says

This role is used most often in classical myths and heroic legends, since these tales are usually a story of conflict between the forces of good and evil.

This generalization hardly holds water. In fact I think only a minority of myths and legends is about "good vs. evil" conflicts.

Let's just say and leave it at that. Hide / Show Replies

I see I still agree with my former self. I have removed the sentence. Mythology has heroes fighting other heroes (The Iliad), heroes struggling against gods/fate (The Odyssey), heroes fighting chaotic monsters (Hercules), etc. There is plenty of conflict besides good vs. evil.

Let's just say and leave it at that.
