Can somebody explain the image? All I see is a girl holding a candle and a some sleeping person. It's not an easily recognizable scene from a famous fairy tale, and the caption does nothing to elucidate the matter. Now a troper has potholed the part of the caption that says "one of the commonest fairy tale tropes" to Forbidden Fruit, but that tells nothing about what is actually happening in the image, or how it relates to Forbidden Fruit.

Let's just say and leave it at that. Hide / Show Replies

Not sure. It sort of does look like a drawing one would attribute to a fairy tale.
