It's time for a split.

My brother is proof of God's existence, because Satan is clearly real.

I was reading through this a few days ago and saw the Honor Harrington example. This made me think of Mr. Kiku from Star Beast so I added the example. However, on reflection, Kiku is a high ranking government employee, the civil servant heading the department as I assume the Honor characters. These two and Sir Humphrey Appleby of Yes, Minister are of far higher rank than a janitor so I think they are not appropriate examples for this trope.

Do examples where the role only has power insofar that they get paid a lot count? Someone provided a Cracked list of 5 surprisingly high-paying jobs and none of them seem to really have any sort of power, just high pay.

Wouldn't Lillie's butler from Pokemon Sun and Moon (the anime) be considered an Almighty Janitor AND Battle Butler? He does butler things around Lillie's mansion, he does cleaning stuff, but he also is better at flying any vehicle (including a helicopter or other vehicle) than even Dr. Zager was at flying the Team Rocket helicopter back in Pokemon BW. He also has extraordinarily powerful Pokémon always on hand and seems to be in peak physical condition.

Would the Human Resources count being above the bosses in the workforce as the Obstructive Bureaucrat in control of hiring, payroll, benefits, and employee conduct and not someone who is the upper management or corporate executive who run the business?

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. Don't forget about this "Happy Birthday" mission on the ship - standoffish Mafioso Killer can clean bathroom in important case too!

Why is the page image not the Janitor from Scrubs? The man has an entire collapsable section of this page to himself. A *section,* which is usually used for the different categories of media, and he's just a character. But on this page, he totally deserves it.

He was at one point. If you want him back, go on and put him back.

Actually, please don't put him back. Image changes should not generally be done without IP threads. The image that used to be on here has been moved at the decision of such a thread.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Is it OK to add the janitor from lego indiana jones 2 to the examples list? Or does he not count because the power he has only exists when his circumstances are deconstructed?
