openSong from the late 2000s Music
I remember a song that was trending on the radio between 2007 and 2009. Looking through billboard charts and couldn't find what it was. A guy was singing about how he's playing with his band in a garage or basement but he was upbeat about life. He'd also mentioned his girlfriend was in the other room doing laundry or something. Anyone with any idea what this is?
openBleaken Song Inspiration Music
My Sister is a fan of Bob's Burgers, and she loves the Bleaken Song from the latest Christmas special.
However, she thinks it's based off of a real song, and it's killing her not knowing what the original is. For reference, the original rendition is on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlFNby_dZIg
I would love to actually be able to tell her, but I don't know the song either. So this is my best way to help.
openSome song I used to hear, really vague but driving me crazy! Music
Alright, so I almost didn't ask due to how vague this will be, but it's been bugging me for literally many years. There is some song, that I have sometimes remembered a bit of for years, and it's too vague to search for. I think I heard this song in the late 2000s. I probably heard it a few times possibly more than a few, but not sure. Thought it was a song I heard being played in stores or something. I am almost certain it was a female singer with a deep or raspy voice, but could be way-misremembering. It could have been pretty much any mainstream genre. It was pretty upbeat and possibly angry sounding. I remember that the chorus started something like "I try to make you undestand I (words that I can't remember, but I am pretty sure the line ends in a -ay sound). I could be off on those lyrics though. This has seriously been bothering me for a long time, gosh I hope someone can help me finally figure out what this was. Thanks.
openVideoGame Music Video Music
So i have really brief memories of a music video that aired on VH 1. It was Video game styled and it was about a big yellow bird with no arms and purple legs, who went through levels rescuing portraits of various celebrities and there was a giant spider boss, who when defeated turned good and became rainbow colored and then they went to the beach together.
openHelp me find a music video Music
I remember seeing this music video on popular music tv channels in 2016 or 2015 (I don't think it is much older than that). I cannot for the life of me remember either the lyrics or the melody. The video goes something like this: there is a girl, sleeping on the floor in a flying prison. Down on the ground, a revolution or a war is going on and the good guys are loosing. At some point they send a dove to the girl and it gets shot down. I vaguely remember the video having a sad ending, as in, the girl not being freed. The video is shot as a mixture of live action when shoving the girl and (don't remember clearly, but I think) animated silhouettes when shoving fighting. Please guys, if anyone can find or remember anything about it, it would really make me sleep easier, it's bugging me like crazy!
openSong that plays at the end of the first episode of "Story of Film: An Odyssey" Music
So I've been watching Mark Cousins' documentary Story of Film: An Odyssey, and there's a particular piece that plays at the end of the first episode (1895-1918) that I'd love to know the name of/where it's from. It sounds a little like something from a later Sergio Leone film, or some sort of Epic. I don't have access to apps like Shazam or Soundhound - else I would do it myself - and I can't find anything from googling. Therefore any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Edited by GenericSnakeopenVocaloid song/PV Music
I remember a Vocaloid song/PV from a long time ago I was never able to find again. I first heard it on a flipnote on flipnote hatena, then found the PV on youtube. Since the original DS flipnote hatena site was deactivated, I can’t backtrack... so this was several years ago, maybe 8 or 9?
The song was kind of chill sounding, no powerful chorus or loud beat. It was probably sung by Miku, but I can’t say for sure. The PV was mostly grayscale, except that the girl character was collecting organs, and these were multicolored and bright. It was NOT a horror song though; it was metaphorical (or a light sci fi) and the animation design was too flat and simple to be scary or gross. She collected these colorful organs in jars in a lab, and carried around a scalpel. That’s all I remember for sure, she may have been confronted by a male character in the end? And I think the organs had a moving texture to add to their color.
I’m not sure why I can’t find this video/song anywhere, it wasn’t very popular but it was unique and had a “15 minutes of fame” in the Vocaloid and flipnote communities, so to speak. This has been bugging me for years, please help if you can!
openRock Song Whose Title Is A Number Music
Does anyone know what song this is? Its title is a number between 1960 and 1995. I think it's the male lead singer's birth year. It's about childhood and growing up. There's an English and a non-English version (Israeli? Hebrew? I can't remember).
Edited by Pichu-kunopenSong with chorus "Steel on Steel, dust to dust. There's an iron horse in all of us" Music
I know this song exists, but even googling the chorus or parts of it in quotes turns up nothing. I also remember a long time ago looking for it and finding a few results, one of which was the song, however I don't remember the band and suspect it's really obscure. Anyway I first heard in the 90s if that helps, and it had a female singer. Here is me singing the chorus: https://vocaroo.com/norImWkPYvS (I remember nothing else.)
openKind of music Music

resolved Fan song for Maximum Ride? Music
There's this fan song for the Maximum Ride series that my sibling and I loved when we were kids, but don't remember the name of or where it was posted. I don't know all the lyrics, but I do remember the chorus:
Nevermore, I will fight to the end/ If you want something you don't pretend/ Not a piece of your game, not part of your lie/ Don't tell me you don't know I'm Maximum Ride
There was also a pre-chorus part that went:
Trust you nobody trusts you/ My game you'll never win it/ Let me guess, he's the first to die?/ Well just 'cause you can read minds/ Doesn't mean it's true, doesn't mean I care/ You know he's mine
I've tried asking some people in the MR fandom itself, but nobody seems to know of this song. If anyone here has any idea what I'm talking about, I would be so incredibly grateful for the name of the song/a link to it - it's been driving me crazy for almost two years now.
Edited by MissGemKnightopenPink/rock/alternative Song with a story at the end Music
A few years ago I heard a song which I think was punk/rock/alternative where after the song ended the band members started telling a story about how they left their friend in the tour van or car? The story was casual like they were just chilling out and telling it after the recording.
openWeezer song Music
I only remember the music video for it.
It was basically about the band with a female lead singer being a total diva with the actual singer being her Beleaguered Assistant. Eventually the rest of the band kicks her out and the guy ends up taking her place, the video ends on their merch being modified to add an "R" to the bands' name to get "Weezer".
openMusic Video Robot Girl with surgery Music
The video alternate between the female singer singing on stage and the singer in a surgery-like room with doctors doing stuff to her robotic body. Except in the moments where we can see the mechanical insides, the girl looks fully human.
openCaribbean classical music (solved) Music
I heard a piece of classical music with a Caribbean, beach-at-sunset vibe. It was used on The Simpsons and the name sounded like "Gassinower." It's apparently well known. Don't fail me, TV Tropes :)
Edited by LordQuetzal88openOld Lullaby My Mom Sang Me Music
Okay so I honestly doubt that you guys will be able to find anything, but lately it's been making me sad so here we go. I think you wont find anything because I fear that my mother might have made it up herself. My mom (who has past away about 8 years ago) used to sing to me a lullaby when I was a kid. I cannot remember the tune at all, and barely any lyrics. All I can remember is that it is talking about a tropical forest, with "rainbows over the waterfall" and also talking about "Toucans" somewhere in there. That's all I can remember... my mom was alive for about 50 years, so around 60 today, to give a time frame for when she could've heard the song (assuming it exists). She was also 1/2 Mexican, with a fully Mexican mother living in California, and loved to listen to Mexican music, so it is VERY possible that she might have heard a Spanish song and sang the translated lyrics to me. She used to sing this to me when I was very young, presumably since I was a newborn up until about 7ish, so 1998 - 2005ish. I'm not sure if it exists, but any help would be appreciated! I can't ask her herself, since she has unfortunately died, and I wish that I had this thing to remember her by, as my memories of her are very fuzzy.
openPossibly EDM commercial music? Music
I have been looking for this song and commercial for awhile now, so I decided to ask you all. I think it was either advertising a car or headphones, I'm not sure. At the end of the commercial two halves of a picture are slowly spinning on rope and eventually line up to form a picture, maybe of a crocodile. I tried to remember was many details as I could, I just really want to find this.
openStrange Radio Song I Heard Music
During a road trip in 2023, I tuned in to All India Radio and came across a segment on 'Western Music'. There was a song playing that had a refrain that went something like "You don't play at night". Although I don't remember all the lyrics, I recall that the second half of the song had a pseudo-rap form and incorporated some disco(?) music.
My friend told me he remembers a parody of Weezer's Beverly Hills in an ad or something, but instead of the "that's where I want to be" part it's "portobello mushrooms with cheese." Anyone know what ad this is is from?
