YMMV / That '90s Show

  • Awesome Moments:
    • Eric Forman carries on the Forman family tradition of threatening to put his foot in his kid's ass. Red is in near tears of pride over what his son has become.
    • Also from the pilot episode, Leia's debating skills, which were played for laughs at the beginning of the episode, come in handy when she blackmails the owner of the store into selling her the beer tap. She tells the owner that the police will hold her accountable for her son selling the gang the beer keg in the first place. This forces the owner to sell her the beer tap.
  • Fanon: Some fans assume Gwen's yet-unnamed father is none other than Steven Hyde: in addition to their personalities being similar, Season 7 of That '70s Show revealed that Hyde was biracial. However, Hyde has been completely Chuck Cunninghammed on this sequel show (almost certainly due to Hyde's portrayer Danny Masterson being convicted of rape and sentenced to 30 years in prison). Consequently, it's extremely unlikely that this particular fan theory will ever become official show canon.
  • Ho Yay:
    • Jay and Nate. If it wasn’t explicitly stated that they were into girls, you’d think they were into each other.
    • Leia and Gwen. Gwen spends a lot of time telling Leia how awesome she is and Leia follows Gwen around like a kid with a crush. It’s also reinforced by Gwen’s jealous reaction to Leia wanting to spend her last Saturday in Point Place with her boyfriend instead of her.
    • Gwen and Nikki in "Step by Step", after Nikki suggests they do something together she normally only does with her boyfriend. And later, the pair act like they did a lot more than take Glamour Shots.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Nikki's baby in Kitty's Imagine Spot having Red's face. Then again, when has a baby with a grown man's face not looked like the stuff of nightmares?
