YMMV / Scott Hall

  • Ensemble Dark Horse
    • As Razor Ramon, he was just some two-bit thug who was brought in as a stooge for Ric Flair, but he acted like such a badass that the fans turned him face. Even then, he was never particularly interested in being a main event level talent; despite his popularity, Razor stayed a mid-carder for the majority of his WWF run, mostly defending or challenging for the Intercontinental belt.
    • There was a period of time in 2000 where Scott Hall was the most over member of the entire WCW roster despite not even being used on TV at all due to his alcoholism. The crowd even popped for a framed picture of him, when it was revealed to be one of the items involved in San Francisco 49ers matchnote  on the October 2, 2000 episode of Nitro, even though his last appearance for the company was at SuperBrawl 2000 all the way back in February.
  • Evil Is Cool: Razor Ramon is recognized as the first "cool heel" in the WWE. He wasn't a scary Wrestling Monster nor was he a slimy Dirty Coward. Razor was just a tough badass who walked the talk and had great matches. By the summer of 93, he had no choice but to turn face, changing little about his character except changing his targets to heels rather than faces.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: The segment in which Steve Austin poured beer on him became this it was later learned that Scott Hall was currently on Antabuse note  during the segment.
