YMMV / Project Kat - Paper Lily Prologue

Go To

  • Awesome Ego: Kat's confidence and ambitiousness have made her very well-liked among fans of the game. Many were disappointed to find out she most likely won't be the protagonist of Paper Lily and hope that she'll at least make a return in some form.
  • Awesome Music: The game's OST contains several addictive tracks.
    • The Club an upbeat little number that plays in the occult club room sounds incredibly catchy. So much in fact that it can become a legit ear worm.
    • The theme which plays to the ending credits is an ominous-sounding piano tune which serves as a warning for anyone daring to follow Kat's meddlesome ideas.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
    • The disturbing love letter in the theater club room. It serves no purpose in the narrative and is never talked about again.
    • In a similar vein, the theater club room getting all spooky and sinister if Kat picks the lock instead of using the key. This can happen even if the ritual hasn't been prepared yet. You're never offered an explanation for why a room apparently objects so strongly to lock-picking.
  • Funny Moments:
    • This exchange:
Kat: So how'd you get ino the club room anyway?
Juli: We got a key from someone.
Saki: I got a key from someone.
Juli: (with irritated expression) She got a key from someone.
    • Step 1: Get on the girls' good side. Step 2: Invite them to tag along. Step 3: Walk in random directions in sync with the catchy club music to perform a hilarious shuffling dance.
    • Reading the creepy letter in the drama club room with the other girls in tow nets you this:
Kat: Is everyone in your club okay?
Saki: Right now I'm not sure.
  • Moe: Kaya is an adorable Shrinking Violet and the kindest out of all the three girls. Naturally many fans latched onto her.
  • Player Punch: Kaya, Juli and Saki dying in the Party Wipe ending, just after Kat had befriended and opened up to them.
  • Tear Jerker: Stumbling upon Kaya, Juli and Saki's bloody dismembered corpses in the netherworld will definitely ruin your mood, especially if you went out of your way to get on their good side.
