- Adaptation Displacement: Pelle is not well known outside of his native Sweden. The two 1980s films, Peter-No-Tail and Peter-No-Tail in America however, got English dubs, shown on American cable television throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In the Anglophone countries, these films are the only real exposure Pelle has. It doesn't help that despite those English dubs, the books themselves were just relatively recently translated into English in 2017.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Despite being the main antagonist Måns has many fans, espicially from Finland thanks to Pekka Autiovuori's hammy performance.
- Retroactive Recognition: While he was already famous before as a live-action actor, Bull from the American dub was Dom DeLuise's second animation role after Jeremy in The Secret of NIMH.
