• Demonic Spiders: The Flood corrupted Pansers are even more aggravating than their original counterparts due to how much faster and more aggressive they've become. They're dangerous even when alone.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Two of the most thorough Let's Plays for beta versions have been done by Germans.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Evidently, The Fusionist isn't the only being trying to fuse all realities, as Galeem went on to do the same in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Within the community bosses exploding certainly falls under this.
  • The Caco Birdo.
  • WILL THIS BE IN MKF?: A question that gets asked constantly on anything Video Game related on the developers' YouTube channels, including videos of other Mario fangames.
  • WHY ROLL AND NOT MEGA MAN?!^note Roll was notably the first Mega Man character to be added, which lead to a lot of questions from fans. Eventually, Mega Man himself would also become playable.
  • ...and of course the ever-popular "BUFFALO LAWNCHAIR", a glitch in an earlier version that caused the Metal Slug Heavy Machine Gun to fire a constant (and amusing!) stream of buffaloes. This would eventually be turned into a powerup for the debug character Vinny.
  • Disappoint Mouse ^note  A meme from the game's Discord server. An image of a character from Sesam Straat with a frustrated expression on their face. It quickly grew popular with the community, to the point where it was included as one of the 100 treasures in the game.
  • Ograoum Papas^note Members of the game's Discord server are very fond of this boss ever since it was ported over from Super Mario Fusion Revival.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Wart's Nightmare, the final level, and the monsters of Super Mario Bros. 2 became corrupted, decayed, and distorted by the parasitic Flood. Seeing what happened to the cute, cheery enemies is even more unsettling when they explode when defeated.
• Nintendo Hard: The game can be quite difficult.
• Unexpected Character: The roster of Elite Mooks in the Mushroom Kingdom includes the Shroobs, whose laser attack carries directly from their home game. Later levels feature the New Age Retro Hippie in a similar role.
