Tropes:
- Canon Defilement: It's easier to say which characters hadn't been completely changed by the fanfic. Many of the characters are either wildly exaggerated versions of themselves or are, for a lack of a better term, the complete opposite of their characterization in the original webcomic.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: While the fic itself is hilarious enough with the characterizations, poor grammar, and general weirdness, the fact that Dave and Eridan end up with Stacia is even more hilarious given Dave and Karkat's constant Ho Yay and now canonical relationship in the comic.
- Poe's Law: While the story itself appears to be a Troll Fic, many others are entirely uncertain due to the author being anonymous and lack of concrete information surrounding said author.
- So Bad, It's Good: The story's popular on the homestuck subreddit because of this.
- Troll Fic: Despite claims that it's not one, people still believe it to be one due to it being filled with various fanfiction cliches as well as poor grammar and odd writing seen as imitating what a young teen making a fic would make.
