• Ass Pull: The Derby assistants being the rival pirates that the Gokaigers lost to earlier. It comes with almost no buildup, and kind of dilutes the Humans Are the Real Monsters Aesop.
• Epileptic Trees: Many fans believe this movie is the moment the Goldtsuiker Family encountered the Gokaigers and took inspiration for Twokaizer from them. While a photo of Zocks meeting Gokai Red (in-suit) was released online, said moment was from behind the scenes for Kamen Rider Saber + Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger Super Hero Senki, and the Goldtsuikers never actually appeared in this film.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Gokaigers' temporary status as global fugitives, not to mention Gai's temporary antagonism towards his teammates, becomes harder to watch after Junya Ikeda, Gai's actor, was arrested after getting involved in a scam, resulting in him getting dropped from his agency and being potentially banned from all future Toku (and by extension, Super Sentai) productions, skewering Gai's chances at returning.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: As mentioned on the trivia page, an alternate version of Kaito was cut from the script because they couldn’t figure out how to explain it was an alternate version. The immediate next season after Zenkaiger features an alternate Kaito and makes a Running Gag out of not explaining him at all.
