• Alternative Character Interpretation: Because most of the main characters from the games are the optional characters in the canon, the authors rely on their own analyses.
• Fan Nickname: Guile is often called Papa Guile.
• Growing the Beard: The first few chapters are mostly slow-boilers and less serious. It starts to get more fun and dramatic from chapter 6.
• Iron Woobie
  • Guile. All he wants in his life is just a family because of his Dark and Troubled Past, but even Being Good Sucks, he'll never stop being a Nice Guy to everybody. This lets him make friends more easily. And after making friends with some children, he treats them as if they are really his children, and he will never let anybody harm them.
  • Yoshino. Other characters don't seem to accept her yet, but her acts show that she keeps trying to show genuine care to Guile as a sign of her atonement.
• Jerkass Woobie: Yoshino. She isn't just a Jerkass towards her juniors. With a Freudian Excuse, she abuses Guile. But soon, she finds out that her dad is a Guile fan, which leads to a My God, What Have I Done?. Finally, when she admits everything about this to her grandma, she ends up getting scolded and slapped. What makes it worse is that her grandma is optimistic that Guile won't forgive her and keeps telling her that. Especially in chapter 12. Feeling extremely guilty, Yoshino has nearly done a Heroic Sacrifice for Guile just hoping to earn his forgiveness. As an All-Loving Hero, Guile gladly forgives her. But in chapter 13, other people don't forgive her easily. Ari slaps and snaps at her AND pushes her newly-developed Berserk Button, which nearly results in a fight until Guile intervenes. Nana even remarks that Yoshino doesn't deserve such easy forgiveness from Guile and needs a lesson or two. Akira does not understand anything, which results in pushing Yoshino's Berserk Button. Yoshino is a Daddy's Girl and known to be very close to her dad. Unfortunately, her dad has died. The cause of death has yet to be revealed.
• Stoic Woobie: Guile. He has a rough past, but he bottles up everything in him. He sometimes shows his Desperately Craves Affection attitude though.
