Fellowship contains a lot of Shout-Outs to Digimon Tamers in the story because it is a Fusion Fic with the said anime. However, there are still many others, which are confirmed by Word of God.
- Jirou's book My Biggest Dream in 2015 contains a reference to the Dream Devourer ending in the DS version of the game.
- Starky's evolved form wields a weapon that is similar to what the Ogryns of Imperial Guards use. His rifle with bayonet can be for shooting and smashing things.

- Chapter 4: To Fight or Not to Fight? is the title of Digimon Tamers (US dub version) episode 3.

- Chapter 7: A Question of Trust is the title of Digimon Tamers (US dub version) episode 8.
- Chapter 8: The Growing Monster Incident is a play to the title of Digimon Tamers (Japanese version) episode 9. It is roughly translated to Revert to Guilmon! The Growmon Incident. This one is very subtle.

- The way Guile fires lesser lightning bolts is inspired by Roy Mustang's Badass Finger Snap.
- Skelly's movements when conjuring a giant steel ball looks like a 'clapping alchemy'.
- Guile's Tremor Fist is inspired by Whitebeard's power.
