A lot of people will know Sheng Hua Nan only as "Rev" due to Vinesauce's Joel streaming this game and nicknaming him this, referencing another Vinesauce streamer who occasionally dons a similar outfit - gas mask, hat and all.
Hilarious in Hindsight: This game, infamous for its Streets of Rage4 teaser at the end of the game, was released in 2009. Nine years later, we wind up having an official SOR4. Especially amusing is the similarities between both games' depictions of Blaze Fielding, with similar jackets, bras, and skirts being worn between them; with opposite colors, no less.
Game-Breaker: Sheng Hua Nan and Violent Dong Dong. Sheng due to his infinitely-chainable gun projectiles and an uninterruptible healing move, and Violent Dong Dong for gaining meter so fast through his spammable supers (of which, one is the full-screenMarukare, the other being a wide dual lightning strike that is worth 1/6 of your healthbar).
Obvious Beta: Tuo Lei has an incomplete moveset and requires hacking to play as except in the latest version.
So Bad, It's Good: There is an insane amount of plagiarism from better fighting games (and movies) in this that should put it in the worst of the worst. However, there is so much effort and heart put into this that it falls into Giftedly Bad and becomes legitimately entertaining.
