Having restored her home planet of Dominonote , Bloom is now adjusting to life as its princess under the watchful eye of her parents, King Oritel and Queen Marion. Adding to her joy is the upcoming Princess Ball, which Sky, now the king of Eraklyon, has asked her to attend with him. But the happiness is short-lived when Erendor, Sky's father, forbids him from escorting her. Meanwhile, a brand new school year at Alfea has arrived for Stella, Flora, Aisha, Musa and Tecna, just as Icy, Stormy and Darcy - the Trix - crash the party. They join forces with the Ancestral Witches, who once destroyed Domino, with one goal in mind - erase all positive magic from the Magical Dimension. In order to stop this devastating reign of darkness, the Winx - soon powerless - must travel to the cursed city of Avram, where only by defeating the witches will they be able to restore the magic, as well as regain their own powers.

Released in Italy in October 2010 through Medusa Film, Magical Adventure is the second of three feature-length films in the Winx Club series, following the events of and serving as the sequel to 2007's Winx Club: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom. Once more presented through 3D CGI animation, the film takes place midway through the fourth season of the TV show, and, as always, features the series' signature dose of magic, adventure, comedy, romance, and much more besides.

Tropes featured in this film:

  • Brought Down to Normal: The Trix and the Ancestral Witches do this to nearly every fairy in the Magical Dimension — including the Winx— by simply damaging the positive part of the Tree of Life.
  • Papa Wolf: Erendor is clearly furious with Sky when he announces his engagement to Bloom. When he asks for a reason, he is given a message in a crystal box, with Erendor saying that it was his fault that Domino was destroyed, believing that the only way to make amends is to never marry Domino's heir and hopes that Bloom will forget about Sky.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Icy accidentally ends up hitting a magical sapling the Winx are searching for while trying to kill Bloom, unwittingly releasing the positive magic within it and restoring the Winx's powers.
  • Super Special Move: Bloom puts her Signature Move up to eleven twice. First, she increases the size of her Fire Dragon at least four times in order to match a negative magic-powered, fused with Icy Belladonna's Obsidian Dragon. The second time, she and the Winx do a massive Convergence to cast a slightly smaller but more potent Fire Dragon against the Ancestral Witches, which gets them Killed Off for Real.
  • You Have Failed Me: The Ancestral Witches get pissed off at Icy for accidentally restoring the Winx's powers back. They punish them by forcefully possessing their bodies so they could take on the Winx themselves.
