A (not so) usual day with our three roomiesnote

GAB Shiba is a gay furry webcomic that started in January 22, 2016, being illustrated by ZURDO and written by CROSS. It's (mostly) dialogue-less, focusing on scenarios that most gay men would relate to. The webcomic focuses on three dogs: Gab, the sweet Shiba, Wang, the geeky Chow Chow, and Bau, the kinky Husky. They also live close by to the local gay couple, Voff and Ruff. Together they live their lives finding fun, hilarity, and sex.

You can find it over on their website (note:some of the comics are out of order, although the lack of focus on arcs makes this less of an issue) or on their twitter. Both links do feature NSFW content, so be careful about that.

Gab Shiba provide examples of:

  • Berserk Button: Don't mess with Voff while near Ruff, especially if you're trying to flirt with Voff. You'd be lucky if you got away unscathed.
  • Beta Couple:
    • Voff and Ruff. They're not part of the main trio (though they are featured in strips that include the main casts) but they're the most notable couple in the series, having been together since before the comic started. They eventually get married.
    • This skirts the line of being considered a "Beta Couple" considering the character's presence in the comic, but Wang gets into one of these.
  • Big Beautiful Man: They're both on the chubby side, but Gab and later Wang still manage to get guys attracted to them.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness:
    • Earlier comics had a cast that consisted of only gay male characters. Later strips would feature women as well as straight and bi men.
    • Strip #10 features Gab having actual dialogue. It doesn't help that it's drawn in less quality compared to the other strips and the nonsensical content.
  • Fanservice Pack: Wang eventually became more expressive and generally more pleasing to look at as the comic went on.
  • Flanderization: Bau was initially just a normal guy who just happened to be a bit promiscuous and laid back, with him literally passing out after kissing a dude at one point. Later strips would really exaggerate his licentious traits in over-the-top ways.
  • Gentle Giant: Voff is a large, beefy man who's very nice, polite, and courteous. Ruff as well, but only if he's currently being spoiled by Voff.
  • Has a Type: Gab seems to have a thing for Lions, having slept with one in the first strip and being attracted towards several lions in the comic. Admittedly the one boyfriend he had that lasted more than one strip isn't a lion but still. Might have to do with the fact that a lion saved him when he almost drowned in a river after his mother's funeral.
  • Interrupted Intimacy: On more than one occasion, Gab has walked into Bau getting it on with another guy. One time he walked in with his (straight) brother.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Bau, full stop. To say that he's very open with his sexuality would be an understatement. He's constantly flirting with men and never misses a chance in being perverted. Doesn't stop him from being one of Gab's best friends, even if he did openly express how he had the hots for Gab's dad. Right in front of him.
  • Mr. Fanservice: The comic's art style is usually too simple for there to be any major fanservice, but that doesn't stop the comic from giving us some hot dogs.
    • Bau is a hunky Husky with full six-pack abs and very willing to take off his clothes when it's needed (or not).
    • Voff and Ruff are two dogs that are drawn very beefy and often appear naked or nearly naked.
  • Occidental Otaku: There's no indication that Wang is Japanese, and yet he's obsessed with anime and Japanese Video Games. One time, he forced Gab and Bau to go to an otaku convention with him.
  • Origins Episode: The Mi Familia arc focuses on how Gab's parents met and why he currently resides in Mexico, along with showing us how Wang became one of his roommates. Gab Bomb #2 shows how Voff and Wuff became a couple while Gab Bomb #3 shows Bau before the comic started up to when he met Gab.
  • Really Gets Around: Bau has had sex with plenty of men over the course of the comic. Gab as well, though to a lesser, more realistic extent.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Gab Bomb #3 has complete dialogue and narration, giving us some insight into how Bau and his bandmates interact with the world.
  • The Reveal: Played for Laughs. Gab finds out that a character, who initially had no indication of their sexuality, is into dudes through a dating app. It turns out to be his boss, who had been in the comic for years.
