Web Animation / X Finds Out His Value

Go To

X Finds Out His Value is a web animation made by The Huang Twins at the end of 2008, one year before the creation of Battle for Dream Island. It focuses on Four helping X finding his value by using algebra. It was created as their project for their pre-algebra class.

X Finds Out His Value contains examples of:

  • Anthropomorphic Typography: The main characters Four and X are anthropomorphic, so are some other numbers such as Three, Five, and Seven.
  • Dance Party Ending: Four and X did this after they figured out X's value.
  • Failed a Spot Check: When X tries to add 5 and 2 in the equation 5+2(3+x), the see-saw becomes imbalanced, not realizing that the 2 is part of a multiplication operation.
  • Lucky Seven: This is the value of X. Four even describes it as 'lucky', therefore this trope. This makes One and Three jealous, because 13 Is Unlucky.
  • Title-Only Opening: The title card lasts for 5 seconds, and it features X, the words "Finds Out His Value", and the Jacknjellify logo.
  • You Are Number 6: The numerical characters are obviously given numerical names, e.g. Four, Five, Three.
