Through different means a group of seemingly random characters are stuck on a planet shaped like a walnut. Adventures ensue when a hat is stolen and some robots appear.

Another Author Comic in A Nutshell contains examples of:

  • Cool Shades: Harvey wears round, blue-tinted shades all the time. He probably even wears them to bed too.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Tie Zombie's past (shown in a flashback here) doesn't exactly seem all smiles and rainbows.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Several Characters fall under this trope, specifically characters belonging to an ex-author.
    • Ignus Unis ends up digging his own grave when the hole he makes in the ground caves in, killing him.
    • White Darkness apparently had a vacuum with him, which he forgot to turn off. It eventually found him and sucked him up.
    • One Shot Characters Bullet and Nick are both shot off-screen, and their killer is never revealed. Meanwhile, Mauris becomes a 'duck-hunt duck'.
  • The Medic: Tie Zombie patches up Koffington after he gets shot by Harvey.
  • Near-Death Experience: Count Bleck in the vacuum of space, after his ship was destroyed. He was rescued by the trickster god SB in the nick of time, which makes it seem far more than a mere coincidence.
  • No Name Given: Tie Zombie's name is not given. He's simply referred to by what he is: A tie zombie.
  • Not Quite Dead: Normally when this happens, you'd think good ol' Koffington would be dead
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The kind and caring Tie Zombie finally snaps in this comic.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Tie Zombie (Type P). Rather than eat your brains he is far more likely to try and hurry you to safety while bandaging your wounds.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Despite being best friends for several years, Koffington and Chester are almost complete opposites. While Koffington is usually cheerful and kind, Chester is aggressive and sometimes grumpy.
  • Sinister Silhouettes: In this comic We see a mysterious figure standing on the moon. This figure blows up Count Bleck's ship with a projectile.
    • May also apply to Black Light, His design is simply a silhouette with glowing eyes.
  • Space Is Air: Lampshaded by the author in the comments of comic #4:
I like the fact that everyone can breathe in space.
  • The Voiceless: Although he does have the ability of speech, Harvey has not spoken once. There's the occasional grunt every now and then, but nothing more.
