You're the real MVP here and the reason we're all able to to continue going on adventures. So thank you! Thank you guys for everything!
SMG4, thanking everyone for 10 years of adventures before everything goes to hell.

The SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special marks the second full-length movie based on Supermarioglitchy4's Super Mario 64 Bloopers, following Meggy's Destiny: An SMG4 Movie, marking the 10th anniversary of the series. It premiered on May 8th, 2021, 10 years to the day from the premiere of "The Cake Is A Lie!". It also acts as the third main episode of the Genesis Arc.

After a recreation of the first episode goes poorly, SMG4 and Mario decide to gather everyone they've ever gone on a crazy adventure with, and bring them together for a huge anniversary party. Little do they suspect that two hobos obsessed with the number 4 that are constantly chasing after SMG4 are trying to warn them about something sinister...

10 Year Anniversary Special provides examples of:

  • Advertised Extra: Despite featuring on the poster and thumbnail, Meggy has absolutely no presence in the story, being in Port Aurora and all. SMG4 has Heavy Squid serve as her substitute in the party, and Meggy only appears towards the end in her Sunset Paradise design via Gilligan Cut.
  • And the Adventure Continues: After all is said and done, the Glitchy Gang declare their intention of solving the mystery of the SMGs by finding SMG1 and 2's Guardian Pod. Meanwhile, the anti-virus protection containing Zero is due to expire, meaning it will break out again.
  • Answer Cut: When SMG4 and SMG3 find the livestream area, only to see Birdo stepping on butter:
SMG3: What the bingus? Who would watch this kind of crap?
(cut to Bob doing exactly that)
Bob: Oh yeah baby. Use your toes.
    • A subtler example: when SMG4 asks who his avatar is, it cuts to Mario, foreshadowing how Mario is the avatar of SMG4 and all the other Mario recolors.
  • Art Shift: Meggy's Cameo is done in Sunset Paradise's style rather than Garry's Mod.
  • Barrier Maiden: Mario, of all people, turns out to be the Avatar of the Bloopverse, as his corruption by Zero causes SMG4 and 3 to slowly lose their bodies.
  • Big Bad: Zero, a virus from another dimension that destroyed SMG1 and 2's reality, is responsible for the disappearance of the Mario Recolors, and is after Mario, the Avatar of the SMG4Verse.
  • Big Damn Heroes: As Zero begins to corrupt Mario, cue the Glitchy Gang, helped by the hobos, crashing their way into Zero's lair. They then kick the crap out of the recolor zombies to allow the hobos to seal away Zero.
  • Big Damn Movie: By SMG4 standards. Clocking in at nearly 40 minutes, it is the third longest SMG4 video, surpassed by Meggy's Destiny (which is 44 minutes) and Revelations (which is 50 minutes).
  • Body Horror: As Zero corrupts Mario, his left arm turns into the same arm as Zero's. Meanwhile, SMG4 and 3's features begin to fade away. It's reverted back to normal after Zero is vanquished.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: When SMG3 wants to take the entire stock of furry suits from Mr. Krabs, SMG4 borrows Saiko's Verbal Tic; Oi.
  • Buried in a Pile of Corpses: To hide from Zero, SMG3 gets the idea to do this by hiding behind the pile of Mario recolored bodies. It works, and it makes Mario like men.
  • The Bus Came Back: Besides SMG4, X and FM54321, many of the other Super Mario 64 Machinima YouTubers (Mario Recolors) finally return after a Long Bus Trip. And it turns out there was an in-universe cause for their absence.
  • Call-Back: As an anniversary celebration, a lot of previous events are called back to.
    • The video opens with an attempt to recreate "The Cake is a Lie!" When Peach enters the scene, Mario even throws her at the castle wall before he explodes, just like the ending of said episode.
    • When a Teletubby interrupts the video, the HUD remains, similar to SMG4's first bloopers up to "Crystal Funhouse".
    • While looking for people to invite, Mario and SMG4 dance to the music like they did in "Mario's Road Trip".
    • Among their travels, they drive through Teletubby land, complete with the main 4 Teletubbies holding someone hostage.
    • The cows are still at war after the events of "Mario Goes To The Fridge To Get A Glass Of Milk."
    • Waluigi unleashes his true power when he thinks he's being rejected again.
    • When Mario is threatened by Heavy Squid, button commands pop up similar to "Mario Simulator".
    • Mario threatens the Shy Guy for his toast with a baseball bat while declaring "Mario's gonna do something very illegal" like he did in "The Mario Mafia".
    • Immediately afterwards, Mario gets his PINGAS stuck in the door.
    • X and FM recreate the argument about buying clothes from the soup store again.
    • Bowser again reads "Go the Fuck to Sleep" to a room full of Luma.
    • Swagmaster69696969696 and Sonic the Hedgehog are still dating, still claiming "No homo".
    • Once Mario catches up to the Shy Guy, he says "Stop it. This is not okie dokie." from "Doki Doki Mario Club," and even does the same hand motions.
    • Toad gets thrown into a wall for blowing Mario's cover, complete with the "DON'T BE A TOAD" image from "ṩṩἔᾗмὄḋᾗᾄʀ 8".
    • When Mario and SMG4 are chased by the angry mob, the scene from Who let the Chomp out with Mario and SMG4 running from the Chain Chomp is recreated.
    • Mario and SMG4 are able to freeze everyone with Susan Wojcicki's YouTube remote.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: SMG3 says that he only saved SMG4 during their travel through the Dark Web is because he's the only one who can cure the memes. SMG4 calls him Tsundere in response, and his reaction doesn't help.
  • The Cameo:
    • Countless old characters appear in the first half of the film during the celebration.
    • Meggy and Auri Bori appear in a Gilligan Cut in the style of Sunset Paradise.
  • Cerebus Retcon: The reason all the Mario recolors were put on a Long Bus Trip with little fanfare over the course of the series' run? They were dragged to Zero's lair in the Dark Web and turned into lifeless husks in its pursuit of Mario, rising up as zombie-like drones when the situation allows it. Fortunately, after Zero is defeated, the recolors come back to life, escape the Dark Web, and create a new settlement for themselves known as Bloopersville.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: What starts a Continuity Cavalcade celebration of the channel's history quickly turns sinister once Zero enters the picture.
  • Contrasting Replacement Character: Played for Laughs with Heavy Squid filling in for Meggy at the party.
  • Darker and Edgier: Becomes this in the second half, especially compared to Meggy’s Destiny. To wit, it starts with the Dead Memes becoming corrupted and kidnapping Mario and his recolors and ends with Mario getting Mind Raped and mutated by a universe destroying sentient virus.
  • Disney Death: Mario initially seems to have perished due to Zero's Mind Rape. Cue his left arm returning to normal before asking for spaghetti.
  • Driving Question: At the end of the movie, several, as noted by the gang:
    • Who or what is Zero, and why was it after Mario, this reality's "Avatar"?
    • What are Guardian Pods, the USB drives scattered across the world?
    • Are there any other SMGs out there?
  • Easily Forgiven: Mario gets an angry mob that he pissed off trying to get toast from Shy Guy to calm down by inviting them to SMG4's party.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Zero. We never see its true form, only a red eye beam and a long blue arm, but whatever it is, it's bent on corrupting and destroying universes and sucking the life out of any Mario recolor it finds.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • When SMG4 recruits FM for his 10th anniversary party, the latter wonders where the other multi-colored Marios went.
    • When Zero begins corrupting Mario, SMG4 and SMG3's textures begin fading away as they screamed in pain, indicating that their connection to Mario is more than just their appearance.
  • Fourth Wall Psych: At the end of the movie, SMG4 once again thanks the viewers for watching—only to show him talking to the castle wall. Heavy Squid laughs at him.
  • Freudian Threat: When squaring up to fight the corrupted memes, Mario delivers one in his own... unique style.
Mario: I'mma gonna rip your dickie off!
  • Funny Background Event: While SMG4 contemplates what he needs for his 10th anniversary, Peach asks him and Mario if they need help with their video—and gets abused by Mario, naturally.
  • Gilligan Cut: After the final battle and Mario is shown to still be alive:
Fishy Boopkins: Oh yay, the gang's all here!
(cut to Meggy and Auri Bori in Port Aurora)
Meggy: Hm. I feel like I'm being left out of something.
  • Given Name Reveal: The names of those crazy hobos worshipping the number four? SMG1 and SMG2.
  • Halfway Plot Switch: The first half of the movie has SMG4 and Mario gathering characters for their anniversary party. Then SMG3 is unable to go back to the Internet Graveyard, causing an army of corrupted memes to run amok, and things go downhill from there.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: We don't know yet what Zero looks like. The only parts of him we've seen so far are his extremely long hands and the red light that presumably comes from his eye.
  • Homage Shot: The legendary "Who let the chomp out" scene is recreated.
Mario: Well, at least it can't get any worse.
Chain Chomp: WHAT THE F*CK IS A SONIC?
  • Lawyer-Friendly Cameo: As seen on the official poster above, Mario is getting electrocuted and the M on his cap is hidden so it does not count as use of Nintendo's IP.
  • Mind Rape: Zero does this to Mario during the the corrupting processes, making him see fragments of 0's memories. Of note is them walking through a burning wasteland, gaining powers, attacking SMG1 and 2's universe, and being sealed away by SMG1.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Twice, thanks to SMG4. The first one has him convince SMG3 to come with the dead memes despite his warnings, convincing him to bring them over by appealing to his ego. When Zero locks the way back to the Internet Graveyard, it causes an army of dead memes to run amok. Later, it's revealed that SMG4's decision to throw his USB down into the Dark Web back in "SMG4's Origins" complicated things when it came to defeating Zero.
  • The Reveal:
    • As it turns out, the Fierce Deity mask really did give Melony more than just a human body; it gave her the powers of the mask as well, complete with the Fierce Deity Sword, as revealed during the fight with the corrupted memes.
    • The disappearance of the Mario recolors are revealed to because they were kidnapped by Zero, who was trying to find Mario. After Zero is sealed away, the freed recolors create a new settlement called Bloopersville to live in.
    • The two hobos worshiping the number 4 turn out to be SMG1 and SMG2.
    • SMG3's and SMG4's Mario-like forms were given through Mario himself, who serves as this universe's "avatar".
  • Scars Are Forever: During Zero's Mind Rape of Mario, we see that the polygon parts on SMG1 and 2 are revealed to be scars during its rampage in their universe, if SMG4 and 3's reaction to Mario's Body Horror by losing their features are any indication.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: SMG1 and 2 defeat Zero by trapping it (and seemingly themselves) in SMG3's Guardian Pod. Though it might not hold Zero for long, what with the Pod’s anti-virus protection subscription on the verge of expiring.
  • Sequel Escalation: The first SMG4 movie had Mario and friends trying to help Meggy win the final Splatfest. This one has the Glitchy Gang trying to stop a powerful computer virus from corrupting and destroying their universe.
  • Sequel Hook: The movie ends with the anti-virus protection on SMG3's Guardian Pod, which is containing Zero, about to expire.
  • Show Within a Show: SMG4 runs through Ssenmodnar Lighting Round while trying to escape from Villager.
  • Surprisingly Creepy Moment: When we hear Hobo 1 talking for the first time, it's surprisingly deep and serious sounding, establishing that he and Hobo 2 actually have a serious motive for chasing down SMG4.
  • Thanking the Viewer: Done twice; the first leads into a song, and the second, which turns out to be a Fourth Wall Psych.
  • Torches and Pitchforks: Mario and SMG4's shenanigans at the mall causes an angry mob to hunt them down. SMG4 uses Susan's YouTube Remote to freeze them in place, and Mario uses it to teleport them all to Peach's Castle, where he instantly calms them down by inviting them to the party.
  • Token Evil Teammate: SMG3 serves this role for the movie. This is mostly because the main villain is threatening the whole world and has a vendetta against the SMGs.
  • Wham Episode: The second half of the episode elaborates on the events of SMG4's Origins by revealing the existence of other SMGs, Mario turns out to be the Avatar for the SMG4 universe, an Eldritch Abomination is shown to have been lurking in the Dark Web for the entire series and kidnapping all the Mario Recolors, and if the end of the episode is any indication, it probably won't stay defeated for long...
  • Wham Line:
    • When SMG3 gets locked out of the Internet Graveyard after trying to pull a Screw This, I'm Out of Here! once the Hobos catch back up to SMG4:
Hobo 1: It’s too late... He’s already here.
SMG4: Thank you...for saving us, you guys. We...we don't even know your names!
Hobo 1: What, really? I thought it was obvious by now. My name is SMG1!!!
    Hobo 2: And I'm SMG2!
    SMG4: Wait, what? WHAT?!
SMG1: And now we're going to end this for good...
SMG4: WAIT! YOU CAN'T JUST DROP SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON ME!
    • At the end of the movie, when everything seems mostly great with it ending on a good ending, the final scene reveals that the story the anniversary entailed is FAR from over.

SMG4: Well, this 10 year anniversary took a weird turn huh?
Mario: I saw god.
Bob: Yeah, but why was he trying to touch your no-no square?
Luigi: And what does that have to do with destroying the universes, bro?
Tari: Whats with all the USBs everywhere?
SMG4: And...are there other SMG's out there??
Axol: (sigh) There's so many mysteries to figure out.
Saiko: Eh, if it means more action like tonight then I don't mind.
Fishy Boopkins: Yeah, and this time we can solve it all together!
SMG4: Yeah! And that includes all of you! Thank you all for 10 years of SMG4.
(Cut to SMG4 talking to the castle wall)
Heavy Squid: WOMMY! WOMMY! HAHAHAHA!
