The Kingdom Hearts Chronicles is a three-part Web Animation made in Adobe Flash by River Jordan and Black Rose. The first installment was uploaded to Newgrounds on September 28, 2005.
It claims to tell the "true story" of what happened in Kingdom Hearts, including things that have been left out of retellings — such as Sora's pet talking slug, Fluffy.
Yeah, it's one of those series.

and Newgrounds (though the third installment had its audio removed on Youtube due to copyright). River Jordan, on his personal Youtube channel, uploaded a remastered version of the first episode in 2021, with re-edited scenes, new audio and re-recorded voice lines.
Tropes
- Adaptational Dumbass: Sora could be dense in the original, but here, he's an idiot.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Half the cast, but Sora especially, seeing as he destroys a bunch of worlds all because he thinks he's on The Price Is Right.
- Affectionate Parody: The series lampoons a lot about the original games, but it's easy to see it was done out of love.
- Crossover Aside from the usual Disney and Square Enix characters, we have guest appearances from Obi-Wan Kenobi, Harry Potter and Professor Farnsworth.
- Deadpan Snarker: Many characters, but especially Riku, Kairi and Ansem. Bob Barker also was this when Sora was on The Price is Right (though no one can blame him).
- Demoted to Extra: Maleficent is relegated to a cameo at the end of episode two and then never seen again.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Cloud Strife subjects Donald and Goofy to an offscreen No-Holds-Barred Beatdown because they tried to steal his car keys (thinking it was the Keyblade).
- Dragged into Drag: Riku's not pleased when he learns that his Evil Costume Switch is a dress.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him:
- Fluffy the slug dies when Sora stupidly lets him swim in salt water.
- Obi-Wan dies offscreen in episode two when he stocks his ship with too many Paopu leaves and crashes.
- Everyone Can See It: Sora's in love with Kairi and practically everyone except Kairi knows it. Sora even has a "Secret Bib" that says "I <3 Kairi".
- Forgotten Fallen Friend: Played for laughs. After crying over Fluffy's death offscreen, Sora forgets about him immediately and he's never mentioned again.
- Love Triangle: After Riku and Sora go back and forth in their "You like her!" "No I don't!" fight regarding Kairi, Sora eventually shoots back with "So do you!", prompting Riku to demand that he not tell her.
- Medium Awareness: Sora's aware that he's a character from a game, but Cloud is not.
- Motor Mouth: Yuffie scares Sora off by talking too much.
- Only Sane Man: Riku, at least comparatively. And Kairi when she actually gets to appear.
- Shoo Out the New Guy: Fluffy, Sora's pet slug, is introduced as a prominent character and then promptly killed off and forgotten.
- Simpleton Voice: Sora has one.
- The Stoner: Sora used to sniff Paopu leaves and Obi-Wan dies because he stocked up with too many of them before trying to take off and crashed his ship.
- Talking Animal: Fluffy the slug, but he only has two lines before he dies.
