"Inspired by a dream I had."
— (seinfeldspitstain's description of the video)

Jimmy Neutron Happy Family Happy Hour is a short video by YouTube user seinfeldspitstain. It involves a perfectly normal day in Jimmy Neutron's life. To say anything else would spoil it, besides the fact that it is now comfortably viral with over eighteen million views, so watch it here. It's only a minute long.

BOND WITH ME, TROPER!

  • Abusive Parents: Hugh does not hold back at holding Jimmy at gunpoint.
  • AcCENT upon the Wrong SylLABle: Due to all of the voice acting being done by text-to-speech software, "Neutron" is pronounced "Nutrin".
  • Adaptational Villainy: Canon Hugh Neutron is a kind eccentric. This version, on the other hand, is a crazed, murderous psychopath.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: In the Christmas video, Hugh is shown depressed. He spends the whole video with a Beard of Sorrow and eventually commits Suicide by Cop.
  • Art Evolution: The Christmas short has much better animation than the earlier videos.
  • Awkward Father-Son Bonding Activity: In this case, watching TV together. The awkwardness mainly comes from the shotgun pointed at Jimmy for it.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: As Jimmy says at the end, the events of the video are "just another day" in his life.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You:
    Jimmy: The pizza is aggressive!
  • Expanded Universe: Some of seinfeldspitstain's other videos seem to take place within the same continuity. The key factor tying the short with the other videos is Hugh's death.
  • Eye Take: Jimmy does one at the end as he utters the final line.
  • Gainax Ending: Jimmy's dad being decapitated by an aggressive pizza and Jimmy concluding that the day is typical for him, when it clearly isn't. It ends with a zoom-up on Jimmy's...bizarre face while the background music distorts.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: In the Christmas video, after killing Ebenezer Wheezer, Hugh puts his head in an oven and bakes it into a fruitcake for Christmas dinner.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Hugh's reaction to getting decapitated by the aggressive pizza is a simple, barely-shocked "Oh shit."
  • Mind Screw: Though it's probably justified by the fact that the creator apparently based it off of one of their dreams.
  • Mood Whiplash:
    • The tranquil music that plays at the beginning is immediately followed by Judy's death.
      • The nonchalant way Hugh says "Jimmy, your mom is dead."
    • In the "sequel" video, in which the description would lead one to believe it would be more straight-up surrealism, turned out to merely be a zooming and panning shot of Jimmy in an open-faced grave, surrounded by mourners, with depressing piano music note  playing throughout. The end of the video reveals that he's in a "dead joke cemetery", buried alongside "Over 9000", "The Cake Is A Lie", "Arrow to the Knee" and others. This is a clear Take That! to the video's memetic status and the fans who won't leave the creator alone about it.
    • "A Neutron Family Christmas" has a very depressing ending, with Hugh committing Suicide by Cop. Then it cuts to the words "Happy Holidays!" in front of falling snow while the cheerful "Sleigh Ride" plays.
  • Never Trust a Title: It's not that happy, and it sure isn't an hour long.
  • Off with His Head!: Hugh Neutron gets decapitated by the aggressive pizza near the end of the video.
  • Precision F-Strike: Hugh says "Oh shit!" as the aggressive pizza decapitates him.
  • R-Rated Opening: Hugh's murder of Judy.
  • Stylistic Suck: The animation itself is deliberately jagged and unusual with poor rendering. Special mention goes towards Judy Neutron, who isn't even given a model.
  • Surreal Humor: Bordering on Surreal Horror.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: For everyone.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Jimmy's dad is killed by a sentient pizza after killing his wife and threatening his son at gunpoint. He's killed again by the police in A Neutron Family Christmas for the murder of Ebenezer Wheezer, Carl’s father.
  • Uncanny Valley: Invoked by Jimmy's appearance. His more realistic texture and face proportions get enhanced by his creepy robotic voice and unnatural facial movements.
