YMMV / Jimmy Neutron Happy Family Happy Hour

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Was the sentient pizza's "aggressiveness" really why it decapitated Hugh, or was it to avenge Judy, whom Hugh just killed a few seconds ago? It did stop floating when his head was cut off...
  • Angst? What Angst?: Jimmy doesn't seem that upset by his mother's death. Nor does he seem fazed by being held at gunpoint or a sentient pizza murdering his father.
  • Cult Classic: The video has well over seventeen million views and its fair share of fans.
  • Discredited Meme: While the video is still fondly remembered by those who watched it, it seems that seinfeldspitstain himself has gotten sick of it. This is evident in that the "sequel" is simply footage of Jimmy being buried in a "Dead Joke Cemetery" while other people mourn him. Furthermore, while another Jimmy Neutron video would be made years later, it had absolutely nothing to do with Jimmy Neutron Happy Family Happy Hour, not even in terms of the models.
  • Fountain of Memes: This video is highly quotable.
    • "BOND WITH ME JIMMY!"
    • "THE PIZZA IS AGGRESSIVE!"
    • "JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF JIMMY NUTRIN."
    • "JIMMY YOUR MOM IS DEAD."
  • Funny Moments: The video's so surreal, poorly-made, and horrifying, it's almost impossible NOT to laugh.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: About ten years later, the pizza has indeed become aggressive.
  • It Was His Sled: The pizza is aggressive, thanks to it becoming the video's biggest meme and a known phrase outside the context of the video.
  • Memetic Molester: Hugh Neutron has this reputation because of this video. "BOND WITH ME, JIMMY!"
  • Memetic Mutation: The video itself, due to the surrealism and the ridiculousness of it.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The dissonant, surreal, and uncomfortable atmosphere the short has. The whole thing was also inspired by a dream that the creator had, so there's a literal basis in this trope.
  • Older Than They Think: Jimmy Neutron actually had to deal with an aggressive pizza before this video was made, in the episode "Sleepless in Retroville".
  • So Bad, It's Good: Undoubtedly why it's so popular.
