WMG / Stampy's Lovely World

Go To

All spoilers are unmarked.

Stampy needs glasses.

HitTheTarget sees Stampy as pre-Character Development Stampy.
  • HTT brings up some pretty old arguments about Stampy's past behaviours when he speaks, e.g. being a Chronic Pet Killer, and derisively refers to the Helpers as "slaves", a term coined in the early days of the series which hasn't been used in years. However, while Stampy himself has experienced Character Development over the years and has become a better person throughout everything, HTT refuses to let the past be the past.

HitTheTarget does not understand sarcasm, or is Literal-Minded.
  • Back in Episode 16, "My Lovely Tower", Stampy jokingly asked HTT, "Are you stealing my dogs?", referring to the fact that you could only have a limited number of mobs existing in your World back in the day. Later in the episode, Stampy also snarks at him, "Welcome to Stampy's Lovely Home, why don't you take over the place?" Clearly, HTT took that idea and ran with it.

FunBot 200,000 inspired HitTheTarget's more destructive schemes.
  • Well, it's just a matter of timeline issues — Sqaishey's song was released in mid-January 2015, meaning Stampy would have received his involuntary shipment of FunBots around that time. At that point in time, the Lovely World was still in its Episode 260s — just a couple of weeks after Lee Bear was rescued. If the FunBots had indeed destroyed a good chunk of the Lovely World in their explosive tendencies, HTT could have easily been inspired by the destruction to try to blow up the Hotel of Dreams during Easter of the same year — prior to that attack, all of his schemes mainly involved manipulation, kidnapping, or outright assault, and none of them were particularly explosive and outright destructive.
  • At the same time, Stampy's fears of losing his World could have stemmed from this incident, and considering how HTT has no qualms about exploiting others' weaknesses to further his agenda, if he's just that sadistic, seeing Stampy's reaction to the chaos of the FunBots could cause him to reach the logical conclusion to use fear as a tactic against his Arch-Enemy.

The village from "Dangerous Day" is Harrison and Harriet's old home.
  • No, it can't technically be because of it being part of the new areas brought about due to the shift to Bedrock, but the SLW's been known to participate in some good old-fashioned Gameplay and Story Segregation from time to time. From a story standpoint only, it's close enough for Stampy and William to get to in about a day, which means that a zombie villager could most likely do the same at night, and from the few glimpses we see of it, it doesn't appear to have an iron golem protecting it — perhaps it was destroyed by the same zombie horde that (hypothetically) zombified Harrison and Harriet?

HitTheTarget's next attack is going to be on Episode 700.
  • First of all, in the SLW, Horror Doesn't Settle for Simple Tuesday. That much is almost a rule at this point, and aside from Episode 200 and the world tour specials, every milestone episode has involved HTT attacking — 100, 400, 500. It seems kind of obvious, but Episode 700 being a more climatic episode would definitely follow the trend.
  • Another point is that the time gap between attacks would make sense. On average so far, HTT attacks are spaced about 20 episodes apart, with 17 episodes being the first quartile and 30 episodes being the third quartile. As a result, a gap of 17 episodes between Episode 700 and the last attack (Episode 683) would fit into this pattern.
  • This seems to be supported by several occurrences in recent episodes, including the mysterious disappearance of Stampy's poppy in Episode 690, "Shiny Sword", and bones and porkchops appearing around the Cloning Contraption.
    • The poppy has since been replaced, but has anyone noticed the audio for Episode 696, "Train Station", seems to crackle every once in a while? I don't know if it's just me.
    • And so far, if we've had the Cloning Contraption and the audio being messed with, what is the likelihood of having Episode 700 be a series of Call-Backs to HTT's previous schemes, in the listed examples, "Clone Calamity" (Episode 184) and "Saving the World" (Episode 526)?
    • Let's not also disregard the fact that the train station is intended to go towards the Emergency Igloo... but we can all still see the Fortress from the station. There seems to be a high chance that the bridge and train station is going to be involved in the next attack, in my opinion. Heck, Stampy even lampshades how close HTT's castle is to the train station in "Train Station"!
      • Adding on to this point, in Episode 697, "Keeping On Track", Stampy mentions two things; one, that the first structure visible from the Emergency Igloo (where the train track is headed to) is HTT's castle, and two, that he might be riding the train sometime in the futurenote . This means that there's a possibility that Stampy will be headed to the structure closest to the castle of his Arch-Enemy on purpose, and remember what happened the last time Stampy took a vehicle close to the castle?
  • Confirmed 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the episode, and the bones and porkchops around the Cloning Contraption turn out to be very plot-relevant.

Hit The Target's real name is...
  • Thomas. As seen in "Inspiration Room", the name of the original person who played Hit The Target was Thomas, so it would be a neat little reference.

Stampy isn't coping with the events of Episode 700 nearly as well as he appears to be.
  • While he appears to have moved on and reached acceptance, recent events such as hallucinating that Secret was Fluffy (which he claims to be a flashback) seem to throw this out the window. Stampy has always been quick to move on from and downplay the impact of events that may be traumatic for him (the episode after HTT burnt to death in front of him was a mini-golf tournament, for crying out loud), but the deaths of three of his beloved dogs may just be the breaking point for such an unhealthy coping mechanism.
  • Avoiding thinking/talking about a traumatic event and avoiding places/activities/people that remind someone of a traumatic event are both possible symptoms of PTSD, and Stampy canonically qualifies for the first one. On top of that, memory problems and the "persistent, distorted blame of self or others about the cause or consequences of the traumatic events" are both PTSD symptoms. Considering that Stampy, after Episode 700, has had trouble remembering to bring shears when building out of wool in Episodes 701 and 702 (as funny as it may sound) and has likely felt guilt over his clone's death for seven years, it's not even that big of a stretch to assume that c!Stampy has PTSD. It's also supported by his hypervigilance in the Recap Episode for the attacks before the hiatus' end, even if it's not a canonical episode. From this, it can also be assumed that his tendency not to take action against HTT can be traced back to avoidance of locations associated with traumatic events. It would probably take a lot more close observation to confirm this theory outright, though.
  • Alternatively...

Stampy's hallucinations are the cause of outside forces.
  • A soul campfire can be seen 3 minutes and 23 minutes into Episode 704, with two more at 14 minutes and 39 seconds. While these aren't explicit confirmation of supernatural forces meddling with Stampy's mind (Fizzy's shop in Episode 700 also had soul campfires, so they could be leftover ones he placed there after the fact), it is noteworthy that soul campfires require soul sand, which is itself composed of souls. Given how there are three fires, and three of Stampy's dogs died during Tragic Day...
    • Another campfire can be spotted on the roof of Stampy's house during Episode 705, "Chaos And Cake", at about 3 minutes and 5 seconds in. While this seems to disconfirm the idea of the soul campfires utilizing the souls of the dogs (unless they're being split up across all the campfires or they're made of the souls of all the dead dogs), it does lend more credence to the idea that the soul campfires have something to do with the hallucinations/flashbacks.
    • Three more campfires can be spotted during Episode 707 — two at 1 minute and 37 seconds in, and one in the 'Swoop!' minigame at around 10 minutes and 50 seconds (it's in the background, so it's slightly difficult to determine the actual time it first becomes properly visible). Additionally, one of the soul campfires from Episode 704 can be seen at 12:27. What's notable about these fires is that they seem to have a different effect from the others - around the Swoop! fire, Stampy forgets who built the Cookie Garden, and around the 704 fire, Stampy misremembers the name of the 'Corridors' game as Lanes. It could possibly relate to the symptoms of PTSD mentioned above, but like the first appearances of the campfires, there's no way to confirm it as of now.
  • Confirmed. The memory loss is induced by the smoke of the Magic Campfires.

The campfire arc will culminate in Stampy hallucinating about a "perfect world".
  • As we've seen throughout the videos with the campfires, they not only create visual hallucinations, but also seem to alter the memories of those around them. Combine the two together, and Hit The Target and Veeva Dash's plan may be to trap Stampy in a vision of a world where nothing ever went wrong in the SLW while altering his memories so that he thinks it's always been this way. It would explain why the amount of campfires keep increasing (to keep up such a massive illusion, they would have to be everywhere), as well as why the first illusion was one of Fluffy (Stampy's "perfect world" would no doubt have all of his dogs alive).
    • Adding onto this, Stampy seeing CrimsonAzoth could also tie into the "perfect world" — Crimson was one of the only Helpers to have an explicit, in-video reason for leaving the World (the death of Cedric), but in a "perfect world" where all of the dogs were alive, he would still be there. Alternatively, it could be because a "perfect world" would have all of the Helpers in it, and Crimson was the first Helper to appear in a video.
    • Ultimately jossed. The campfires cause Loss of Identity and aren't the catalyst for a Lotus-Eater Machine scenario.

There will be a trap for Veeva Dash as well.
  • The biggest problem with this trap Stampy has set up is Veeva Dash, she could just set Hit The Target free. But Stampy will be aware of this, so it will be revealed that he has set up a trap for Veeva as well. This may also be when Hit The Target and Veeva Dash retire from the show. But if not, then who will set them free?
    • Jossed. Stampy didn't make a trap for Veeva Dash, but she hasn't helped HTT escape the trap either (so far, at least).

The parrot will set Hit The Target and/or Veeva Dash free
  • Answer: The parrot from the episode "Helpless". He was revealed to be on Hit The Target's side in that episode, so this will be his great comeback as he sets the villains free. That's how the narrative will go, at least.
    • Jossed. The parrot doesn't show up in "Christmas Invasion", the episode HTT gets set free.

Hit The Target and Veeva Dash aren't behind the campfires.
  • The campfires don't seem to line up with the usual methods utilized by both HTT and Veeva Dash — HTT usually goes for straightforward attacks, while Veeva Dash typically uses potions or machines, and as far as we know the campfires are explicitly supernatural. Plus, the amount of time between their previous attack (Episode 700, "Tragic Day") and the beginning of the campfire arc (Episode 704, "Corridors") is a shorter time than usual between the end of one HTT attack and the beginning of the foreshadowing for the next. If someone else was behind the campfires, however, this would make more sense.
    • Jossed. They are behind them.

Veeva Dash's fate.
In the latest episode as of writing (Episode 719), "I Won", Veeva Dash noticed how HitTheTarget got trapped, but then she ran off, here are some possible interpretations of this decision, as well as what could happen in the future:

The rain is going to be a crucial plot element.
As of the latest episode as of writing (Episode 744), it has rained for (at least?) two episodes in a row, but most previous Lovely World episodes take place on clear days. For it to rain this often in the Lovely World doesn't seem usual, so it's possible this might be a plot point in future episodes.
  • In the latest episode as of writing this entry (Episode 748), as Stampy announces the anniversary episode at the end of it, it outright rains and quickly turns into a thunderstorm (with the thunder sounding eerily like a TNT explosion, or that's just me). He even lampshades that in the Lovely World, rain is usually a signifier of Gray Rain of Depression.
  • In Episode 750, "100% Redstone Free", a thunderstorm starts again and Stampy starts complaining about the weather in that it hadn't rained in the Lovely World in years.
  • The main crux of the theory is that either the rain was caused by HTT and Veeva Dash, or some supernatural phenomenon.

What's gonna happen in the anniversary episode?

HitTheTarget will have an Anniversary Episode as well
Specifically on December 8th 2022, the 10th anniversary of "Unexpected Drama", the episode when he first attacked.
  • HitTheTarget and Veeva Dash will host a party (with a bunch of googlies as the guests) on the pirate ship he used in "Sinking Feeling", suspended in the air by huge balloons similar to the Hot Air Balloon used in "Fight in Flight". The party their hosting will cause all sorts of litter and destruction on the Lovely World, so Stampy and his friends will attempt to confront them. They will use the helicopter in the airport to get to the ship. There will be a Remote Mind Vocalizer (from "Saving the World") on board, allowing HitTheTarget to speak his mind. Veeva Dash will have a turn speaking her mind too. This Rant will be about how they'll always oppose him, no matter how many failed attempts. Once they've said what they wanted too, they'll throw Stampy and his friends overboard and shoot down the Helicopter they used (a la how they shot it down in "I Lost") Completely getting away with their actions this time and forcing Stampy and the others to undergo a cleanup effort.
  • December 8th of 2022 would be on a Thursday, though, so unless Stampy specifically makes a special or "accidentally" delays an episode upload, this might not be likely... unless he posts the episode on the 7th as a "the closest day we can get" scenario.
    • Though Stampy had no issues with uploading the anniversary episode on a Thursday, there was simply also an episode the Wednesday directly before it.

The Lovely World's 'borders' are in the shape of a heart
With the House in the center, since I believe Stampy said somewhere that his house is the "center" of the lovely world (BTW if anyone can show exactly where he said that, that would be great)
  • And HitTheTarget and Veeva Dash's domain will be a Triangle, forming a Spade with the Heart.
    • Possibly not the case. The evil fortress is located to the southeast to the main Lovely World, not the direct south. That is, unless the heart is tilted...

HitTheTarget's involved with Herobrine

A future plan of HitTheTarget and/or Veeva Dash will be them reviving the Ender Dragon
  • Possibly in an episode where Stampy returns to the End dimension to gather materials for a future build.
    • Jossed.

The Enderman that attacked "What Is This?" was Fred
This adds a strange bit of heartwarming to that film, since Fred was likely only defending his home from an unknown intruder.

The fate of Barnaby
It's shown that something's happened to Barnaby, but what?
  • If he's been poisoned and dies, Stampy will get mad, go on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge and actually kill HitTheTarget and Veeva Dash, since they're likely the ones responsible for poisoning Barnaby.
  • Settled: Barnaby has been poisoned, but he's been cured, though at the cost of the Funland.

A classic Helper comes Back for the Finale.
  • Had there not been controversy surrounding Lee, he would return for the final episode. Due to said controversy, Squid is a likely candidate due to being one of the most iconic.

The final episode is a Breather Episode.
  • HitTheTarget and Veeva Dash will no longer be a threat by the time the final episode is out. The episode will be a dedicated goodbye along with a trip down memory lane.
    • Jossed. The final episode is a HitTheTarget attack.

Final Love Garden Entry
  • The final person to be in the Love Garden won't just be anyone, but EVERYONE. The sign will say "you", "fans" or anything similar and include a quick reel of all the submissions from the post Stampy made on Twitter.
    • Jossed. While the final Love Garden entry is quite large, with 58 names added (and technically even more people added, considering some of the names were those of groups such as Clinging To Our Childhoods), it's specific people/groups that are added.

Stampy leaves for the Finale
  • Stampy will make up with HTT and Veeva Dash, them and the Helpers will leave the Lovely World in search of others to help, explaining why the Map is going to be made available for download.
    • Confirmed. While Stampy doesn't make up with HTT (who stays behind in the Lovely World), everyone else (including Veeva Dash, who Stampy does end up making up with) does leave.
