How the Queens were able to get together to perform this concert:
Toby Marrow and Lucy Moss are not just lyricists and composers, but also necromancers. However, instead of resurrecting the Queens outright, they were all reincarnated into different bodies. Same thing with their Ladies in Waiting to form the house band: Margaret "Maggie" Lee, Elizabeth "Bessie" Blount, Jane "Joan" Meutas née Astley, and María de Salinas. Toby and Lucy offer them a deal to get them to tell their stories at… really no cost.- This would explain why they know plenty of modern lingo and why they look so different from their real-life counterparts. It also explains how the cast changes from show to show.
