WMG / Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch

Version 7 will be based on Worlds Collide.
Seems like the logical thing to do after the adaptations for Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10. The Sonic the Hedgehog characters (whose sprites would be derivative of Sonic Pocket Adventure) would be Non Player Characters, but the Roboticized Masters (i.e. Tails Man, Knuckles Man, Rose Woman, Vector Man, Charmy Man, Espio Man, Shadow Man, Rouge Woman, Silver Man, and Blaze Woman) will be skins for the player. It will also have a Boss Rush for the post-Mega Man 6 Robot Masters towards the end.
  • This troper thinks Version 7 will be based on Mega Man V, considering how it's very similar to the NES games and is regarded as canon to the series, compared to licensed titles (both DOS games and ''Challenger of the Future" come to mind).
    • It has been officially confirmed that V6 features MMV content along with MM10's, effectively making this Jossed. As for Version 7 being the final core expansion, it would probably feature MM11 content.

Version 6 will feature a second "bot rush" in the form of the Weapons Archive.
This rush would feature the Robot Masters' weapons from Mega Man 7 through 10 (including Mega Man & Bass).
  • Jossed. Weapons Archive utilizes the patterns of the previously fought chapter bosses.

The true identity of AwesomeFan92 will be revealed in Version 6.
Think about it: whoever is hiding behind that nickname might be showing genuine respect and wishing good luck for Player Character through letters in the mailbox - but it's all a facade. Maybe this enigmatic character will actually step in and track down Maestro to confront him personally - and by "confront" this troper means "fight"? There might be something fishy going on with this guy...
  • Jossed. We don't get to meet AwesomeFan92 face-to-face, and his last letter remains as cordial and motivational as ever. He's even further implied to be Cold Man, though.

V7 will make use of the Double Gear System.
  • This would add a new spin on the 8BDM Formula by allowing players to gamble on the good timing to use either to Speed Gear or Charge Gears. Like in MM11, overclocking would cause negative effects on the player.
    • Adding onto the Deathmatch theme of the game, the Speed Gear would function as a Haste powerup from the Quake series, while the Power Gear would function as Quake's Quad Damage for most of the weapons on top of changing the properties of the MM11 weapons and other certain weapons ala the Tome of Power from Heretic.

The Mysterious Hero isn't Auto.
  • Rather, he's a robot with an extreme obsession with Auto, to the point of owning a truck just like his, knowing where he lives (Light Labs), learning how to make weapons like Auto, and reprogramming his display module (like Maestro can) to look just like Auto save for his Met helmet.
    • Almost all of the allied Dr. Light Team robots in Chapters 9 to 11 are present right next to the teleporter with the player before starting a match, but Auto is still at his usual spot by the training room if the player goes back to the lab after clearing Wily Tower 1 even though the Mysterious Hero joins the player's team in Wily Tower 2— alongside Proto Man, who also isn't anywhere to be seen in Light Labs at all.
    • Furthermore, either looking like Auto fooled Rush into following him onto the Cossack Cruiser, or his strange fanaticism led him to create a replica of Rush who only has the Rush Search function— which would explain how both Auto and Rush can instantly be at their places in Light Labs right after the player teleports out the Cossack Cruiser.
    • Finally, as skins or bots, Auto and the Hero use different weapons while attacking: Auto uses an Arm Cannon and the Hero uses the fireworks cannon Auto uses in Mega Man 8 (which has its events completely replaced by Chapter 8 in this game), which could be an indication that they don't actually have each other's weapons.

Megaman Shadow and the Dimensions will appear in some form in V7
  • Jossed. The Dimensions appear in the Robot Museum map from the Mega Man & Bass chapter of the campaign as cameos.
