WMG / Let's Go Luna!

Go To

Luna has Autism.
Luna could have some Autism-like traits as demonstrated in the episode, "Hola Mariachi!", where Luna mentions that she gets too excited that she can't stop dancing, stating that it's her weakness...or as Autism experts would like to call it stim traits.

Andy is from New Orleans.
Carmen is from Mexico City and Leo is from Sydney. One of Season 1's destinations is New Orleans, Louisiana. Andy is from the USA, so maybe he's from New Orleans. It makes sense as Louisiana has a lot of bayous, which contain frogs.

  • Jossed. Andy is not from New Orleans. We never visited his hometown in Season 1. I bet he's from New York City, because it's the biggest city in America just like Mexico City, Mexico, and Sydney, Australia.
    • It's unknown where Andy actually lives, since he never mentioned (for Season 2) that he lived in Boston, Massachusetts nor San Francisco, California.

Carmen and her mother can fly; they just choose not to.
Given that most of the people around them are flightless animals, they just aren't in the habit of flying and don't run into situations where it's necessary often.

Senor Fabuloso's parents are abusive homophobes.
Despite that LGBT is legal in Spain, Fabuloso's parents are uptight traditionalists who disowned him for being gay and kicked him out. In revenge, Fabuloso started a campy traveling circus troupe with a bunch of flamboyant people from around the world who accept each other as they are. And it is highly successful too!

Senor Fabuloso never talks about his biological family on the show because of the bad memories. In "Time of Goodbye", he calls the Circo members his family, so he sees the circus members as his Family of Choice because they accept him for who he is.

  • Jossed. Fabuloso talks fondly of his parents in "Gaja's Birthday", so that rules out them being abusers and homophobes. However, he's still very heavily gay-coded.

The kids will go back to Tokyo to learn about anime.
It is confirmed that some locations for Season 2 are reused from Season 1 — we have went back to Delhi, India for example. I hope they make an episode where the Circo goes to Tokyo and see how anime is made. They made a Kiki's Delivery Service reference in "Lizardzilla". They can take this a step further and do the other stock anime references: other Studio Ghibli movies, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, AKIRA, Speed Racer, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Pokémon, Cowboy Bebop, and Yu-Gi-Oh!. They could go the Molly of Denali route and reference something modern like Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, or Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
  • Sort of confirmed. We did go back to Japan and we got a subtle Gundam reference in "Robo Kid". Magic Globe mentions that there's a 60 foot robot statue in Japan. In real life, there is one — of Gundam! Also, the song featured in the episode sounds like "Harder Better Faster Stronger" by Daft Punk, which was made for an anime movie — Interstella 5555.

The San Francisco episodes.
Joe Murray confirmed that San Francisco is the very last location of the series. Post your ideas below:
  • I really hope it's confirmed that Andy lives here. We haven't gotten any locations in America (the upper 48 states that is) besides Louisiana and Massachusetts, where Andy is not from.
  • San Francisco is considered to be the gay capital of the world, and is at the forefront of LGBT rights movements. Senor Fabuloso is Ambiguously Gay. Coincidence? I think not! The final episode will be about Fabuloso and Hockbar's big fat gay wedding.
    • The final episode descriptions have been leaked by Google. You can read them here. Nothing about the San Francisco episodes indicate that Andy is from there, sadly. I guess the viewers are supposed to assume that Andy is from Massachusetts. As for Senor Fabuloso, the series finale is titled "Love and Harmony", and centers around Carmen attempting to find love and harmony. This means that the second theory is out the window.

Let's Go Luna! takes place in the same universe as 2001: A Space Odyssey, but in the distant future.
Luna's tidal events have already wiped out all the humans. The surviving animals have adapted, evolved, and appropriated elements of human culture, based on the artifacts that keep resurfacing when Luna moves around.

The Moon Monolith made Luna sentient. She's been guiding this transformation for eons.

The sun also routinely comes down from the sky.
In the same way that Luna comes down to Earth during the daytime, the sun (possibly named "Sunny," "Dawn," or "Soleil") comes down from the sky at night and has adventures with a group of nocturnal friends.
