"You have a wrinkly tortoise on your bed."

"We start from an outline of a rough story and storyboard it out to tell the story more visually, which in my opinion adds to the humor. The characters are also more driven in their personalities than many kids shows for this demographic. No doubt it will push some comfort zones, but when I watch my 4 year old son openly laugh at certain cartoons he watches, I want my show to do that, and give a spark to learning about our world."
Joe Murray on the show's humor.

Coming from the creator of Rocko's Modern Life and Camp Lazlo, it's no surprise that this show has its fair share of funny moments.

Spoilers Off applies to all Moments pages, so ALL spoilers are unmarked! Proceed with caution.

     Season 1
Hola Mariachi
  • Luna breaking into dance during the "Oh, Mariachi" song, and then yelling "STOP THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!".

What's the Big Idea?

  • Senor Fabuloso's wall is sentient.
  • "Must...paint...GRANDE!!!!!!"

Day of the Dead

  • When Luna explains to Carmen that it's a good idea to laugh in the face of anything you fear to make it less scary, the others explain what fears they laugh at, which are pretty standard phobias... until it gets to Andy, who says he laughs at asparagus.

Aren't We a Pair?

  • Because Carmen doesn't feel like visiting Cairo, Andy builds a sand statue of her in her place. When Luna arrives, Andy puts on a falsetto voice and sings Carmen's line in Luna's theme song: "Luna, come and play".
    • Luna's WTF face when the sand Carmen falls apart.
  • After Carmen says: "What did she do, fly away?", she sees Honey being carried by a green parakeet.
  • Luna, Leo, and Andy screaming and running around thinking Honey and The parakeet flew away.

Amazing Man

  • Before the trio sings "Luna Come and Play" Luna accidentally trips on a rock while reading the Amazing Man comic, which she falls down face first. When Leo and Carmen asks if she was okay, she instantly gets back up saying she's fine.
  • Whenever someone shushes the gang.

A Chopsticky Situation

  • Everyone is better at using chopsticks than Leo, even a baby.
  • Leo somehow draws the conclusion if he doesn't learn how to use chopsticks, he'll never eat again.
  • Andy playing with chopsticks, setting off Luna's anger.
  • Luna and the kids coming back to the circo with a full stomach.

Jolly Special Friend (the page image)

  • Senor Fabuloso acting very overdramatic over Papa Chockers falling ill. He even lets out a Big "NO!" when the latter loses his voice.
  • The kids decide to get some food from London. Papa Chockers facepalms, while Fabuloso states that they are doomed. Then, he has this to say:
Senor Fabuloso: You have a wrinkly tortoise on your bed.
  • Luna's face while dancing with Andy and Carmen during the fourth time the bulldog sings that London's got him in the mood for food.
    • The fact that Leo wasn't seen during the scene because he has external ear flaps, unlike Carmen, Luna, and Andy.

Guitar to Sitar

  • Gaja's unusual habit of counting his toenails.

Spring Has Not Sprung

  • "Luna, uh, dull and grey?"
  • When the gang sees people throwing colored powder at each other, they assume they're having a fight. Andy says this:
Andy: WHY CAN'T EVERYONE JUST GET ALONG?
  • When Andy bends down and the monkeys throw colored powder on him, covering his bottom.

Where's Luna?

  • As usual, Senor Fabuloso acts very overdramatically, this time over Luna going missing. He then shoves his book of funny hats in Andy's face.
    Fabuloso: SEE THE FUNNY HATS?!?
  • Senor Fabuloso assuming that the Rama Yantra is made of Swiss cheese and has been around for billions of years, only to instantly be proven wrong.
  • Later, Fabuloso states that to find Luna, they have to find something that has a strong connection to her, unaware that said strong connection is her signature hat, which he is wearing on his head.
  • Carmen saying, "Focus!" It sounds like profanity.
  • "Okay, this is taking too many seconds."

Pulling Strings

  • Because Andy and Carmen don't even want to be near each other, Leo ends up singing all the lines to Luna's theme song.

Didgeridoo and Carmen Too

  • Leo's mom groaning at Papa Chockers' puns, stating that they're the worst jokes ever.

Not Home on the Range

  • Uncle Crusty's horses are Trusty, True Blue, Mr. Dependable, and Screwball. Fittingly, Screwball is a wild Cloudcuckoolander.
  • Leo saying "What's that" everytime someone ask Uncle Crusty if they can ride horses now.

Boomin' Boomerang

  • Fin comments that he is better at throwing the boomerang than Auggie is without a stomachache. Auggie replies by saying "I heard that!"

House Music

  • Bazzle's glasses shattering after he hears opera music.
  • They're something really funny about how the gang was unaware that Bazzle was in Syd and the Sydneys the whole time.

You Can't Move the Moon

  • "PLEASE, LUNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST SAVE US!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  • When Señor Fabuloso announces that Salami Strong will not be doing his toe act, a random bear in the audience with a toe-shaped hat and the words "Toe Jam" on T-shirt yells "Hey! The whole reason I bought a ticket was to see Salami Strong's toe!"
  • Luna's angry face, mostly because it's so rare to see Luna get angry.
  • At first, Jiro is unable to move Luna, but then Luna uses her skills to send Jiro to the audience, where he lands on top of the bear.

Windy Washi

  • Andy wraps the Shrews' birthday gifts with dental floss.

When the Bowl Breaks

A Prickly Pair

A Turkish Delight

  • When the Magic Globe explains how to say "thank you" in Istanbul Leo somehow interrupts her by ripping the screen like a piece of paper.
  • Wrinkles wearing a bib that says "Kiss The Cook"
  • Leo putting too much baking soda in the brownie batter, causing the brownies to overflow.

C'est Cheese

  • The Magic Globe freaking out when she sees a giant wheel of cheese.
  • The Running Gag of Carmen and Andy's stomachs grumbling.
  • Leo throws his grilled cheese sandwich at Chef Rene...note
  • Chef Rene insists that there are four components to a perfect meal: beauty, smell, deliciousness, and smell.

C'est La Vie A Paris

  • Luna's Sanity Slippage.
  • Mr. Hockbar is still a workaholic, even on his break.
    • He stops Luna's theme about halfway through, then quickly finishes it in the wrong tempo, ending it with "That's the song."
  • Senor Fabuloso hiding in a crate.
  • Julien's slow manner of speech.

D'Orsay Day

  • Luna pretending to be a steam train (complete with her hat as a train whistle), with the kids as her passengers.

Honey In Paris

  • The kids leave before Magic Globe is able to tell the kids what "Mon amour" means in French. Or even shrinks back into Carmen's pocket. She just stays there and thinks that they're figure it out.
  • Andy and Leo react with disgust at the thought of Honey being in love with someone.
  • Luna trying not to dance.

Stairway to Art Day

  • Andy's dad falling off the broken stairs outside their trailer.

Leo Moves It

  • Leo's hips shaking uncontrollably throughout the episode, at the most inappropriate times.

Meet The Presses

  • In this episode, the kids rush through "Luna, Come and Play" as they try to collect pieces of paper.
  • Luna's face when ink spills all over the paper she was writing on.

Glocken Around The Clock

  • Mathilda's Terrible Thing is said to something, well, terrible. What is it? Mathilda making a sad face.

Story Story

  • Whilst Carmen and Hannah squeal over The Hairy Games, Andy remarks to Leo that they should read more.

Stinky Fruit

  • It's apparently Wrinkles' birthday, as he starts the episode wearing a party hat with a balloon tied around his shell and tooting a party favor. When Leo's dad walks in, Wrinkles is floating past in the background, using his tail like a propeller.

     Season 2
Beetlemania
  • Honey's sarcasm in the beginning of the episode.

Totally Yodelly

  • While Senor Fabulouso explains about the Magnificent Matterhorns (A group of goats who do tricks) not able to come for tonight (because their manager is in Madagascar managing a group of kimono dragons who sing showtunes). There's a brief moment where Luna's face changes when Senor Fabuloso starts "floating".

Mr. Precise

  • Quantum humor.
Mr. Precise: Then I said, 'But Ludvig, quantum mechanics regards the flow of time as universal and absolute!'
  • "Mr. Andy, perhaps you did not hear me when I said in very precise language...NO TOUCHING!!!"
  • Because Carmen turned the crank four times instead of three, there is no chocolate cream coming out to break the fall for Mr. Precise's circus act. When it comes time for him to jump off the high dive, he just floats there for a bit like Wile E. Coyote before falling.
Mr. Precise: Time's up. Time for precision panicking.

The Case of the Missing Cheese

  • Leo's Single-Issue Wonk over Swiss cheese.
  • The fact that Leo thought that someone stole the cheese, and yet the answer was as simple as "gas makes the holes in Emmental cheese".
  • Mia baiting Leo.
Mia: Leo, I'm not stealing cheese. There's a perfectly logical explanation for why Emmental cheese has holes.
Leo: There is? What is it?
Mia: Simply put, Emmental cheese is made from the milk of cows with holes in them! (Cutaway Gag to cows with holes)
    Leo: Really?
    Mia: No.

The Wrong Clothes

  • "I'll roll aimlessly in the sand!"

Hilly Nilly

  • When Honey asks for directions to Lombard Street.
Magic Globe: What am I, a GPS?

Love and Harmony

  • Because of Carmen, Leo, and Andy's bickering in the beginning, when they see Luna, they end up singing Luna's song in a sarcastic and begrudgingly manner, much to Luna's confusion and concern.
Luna: Boy... uh... you three sure are a happy bunch.
