The Movie Villains end up here as well
Whether they get involved with Cell's failed escapes from HFIL or not, expect to see Dr. Kochin, Lord Slug, Turles, Cooler (in organic form), Androids 13, 14, and 15, and Broly.
  • And Bojack will finally get his chance to shine since now that his movie is cancelled, that means he must've died when Cell blew up on King Kai's planet.
  • Cell could certainly have some issues with the Great Spaghetti Star, considering she and Cell's mother are very similar.
  • Because they probably lack souls, Androids 13, 14, & 15 will have to rebuilt by Dr. Gero or some other group. A big deal will be made of how they don't need ki and can't be restrained by the ankle bracelets.
    • Confirmed in HFIL 9 with both Cooler and Bojack both showing up in the stinger as ambassadors of the INTER-HFIL Tournament. Jossed in that the Bojack special had happened sometime off-screen.
    • They also imply that Gero or the Red Ribbon Army in general have something to do with HFILs security system, meaning we have some chance of the movie androids making appearances.

Mr. Popo will appear in some sort of role
As much how terrified we are of the guy, it's almost certain that Mr. Popo will return in some form or fashion

Fusion Reborn will be very loosely adapted here
Cell tries to lead an uprising against King Yenma, but Hilarity Ensues.

It will be revealed that Captain Ginyu is in Heaven
His lack of an appearance is rather odd and it would be in Teamfourstar's style to reveal that Ginyu actually never killed anyone or sinned so he got to go to Heaven.
  • The Fridge Brilliance entry on the YMMV page gives an hilarious alternate idea: since he was a frog when he died, his power level was too low to be of notice. I also suggest, however, that the frog in Ginyu's body somehow ends up in HFIL in his place.
    • The frog hasn't done anything evil, though.
  • Jossed. Ginyu appears in episode 4.
    • Except not jossed. It is the FROG in Ginyu's body that returns. Ginyu's soul still isn't around. .... It's up in the air if King Yema just signed him on as Ginyu due to a paperwork error or if the frog is just that evil.
      • Episode 6 confirms it: it was a clerical error. Goz and Mez explained it thus when attempting to de-escalate the fight between Cell and the Ginuys.
      • The real Captain Ginyu- Ginyu's soul in the Frog Body- was put through the Soul Scrubber at the end of episode 6.

The season finale will show Freeza being sent to a deeper pit in Hell
Just a basic setup to put Freeza in his cocoon for Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'.
  • Episode 4 seems to throw some credibility to this, with Goz and Mez teasing the existence of a "Super Hell" that you go to if you don't follow the rules..... and then immediately cutting to Freeza scheming ways to torture Cell.
    • Everyone else graduates and Frieza mixes up the recycling and the garbage due to never having to do the dirty work before.
    • Given that the series in which we see Frieza in the cocoon is called Dragon Ball Super, there's a good chance that's what "Super Hell" is meant to imply.

One episode will involve Bardock (and maybe Gine) coming over to Raditz and Cell's place for dinner.
Standard sitcom plot meets standard sitcom cul-de-sac (or the Hell equivalent, but whatever). Cringe Comedy will reach Mr. Popo's power level as things descend into Guru, Goz and/or Mez publicly embarrassing Raditz, Bardock chewing out Raditz for generally being a disappointment ("Why can't you be more like your brother Kakarot!?"), and the two Saiyan men arguing for what feels like eons. Cell laughs his ass off, this whole ordeal attracts the attention of the rest of HFIL (including Freeza), culminating in the single worst day of Raditz's afterlife.

That is, until Goku shows up!
  • May I also humbly suggest Cell being mistaken for Raditz's boyfriend?
  • Alternately Bardock might be the one person who DOESENT see Raditz as a disappointment, after all he apparently was so bad he had a special layer of hell made just for him, at least until he finds out Cell is technically also sort of his son and is way cooler
  • Bardock is understandable, since, one act of heroism aside, he was a mass murderer himself. Why Gine though? Unless she goes through a lot of Adaptational Villainy, she was unambiguously good, being part of the food industry on Planet Vegeta, and explicitly being noted to be too kind by Saiyan standards to be in their main line of work.
    • A fair amount of fan works do have her in Hell but with the implication being that she wanted to be with Bardock. That's my basis for it, and there's nothing saying she can't take a vacation and visit him if she does live in Heaven.

Dr. Gero will eventually join the cast.
This is an obvious idea for a new character. Gero was seen in Hell during the Buu Saga (of the original anime, that is), and the interactions he and Cell could have are limitless. The only boundary is getting Chris Guerrero to reprise his role, but he can easily be replaced if he’s not available.
  • Probably might happen. Episode 9 has a Wham Shot where the garage's security system is apparently handled by the Red Ribbon army, meaning Gero might have something to do with Cold's plan to help the MCMs escape.

Dr. Gero will not join the cast.
There is a theory that the reason Captain Ginyu is not in HFIL is because his original body was weak so when he died he reverted back to it. Dr. Gero may have a similar issue, since he was originally just a physically weak scientist.
  • Well, now that Ginyu has appeared (or at least the frog in his body), Dr. Gero has a chance, doesn’t he?
  • Gero appearing is teased by Episode 9 showing that HFIL has Red Ribbon tech.

Dr Gero will appear, but it'll be seen as suspicious in-universe.
Going by how Frieza isn't a cyborg in HFIL Gero would likely have his frail old man body, which could be a barrier to potential show up...or something that if he does, will be addressed. Due to Dr Gero being a genius, he could have cut a Bargain with Heaven to aid them as a mechanic in return for letting his scientific mind learn more about the afterlife (and maybe even in hopes of meeting his son in the afterlife if he behaves). Meta-wise it'd be easy to edit his head to be a normal bald one than a Brain in a Jar and if Chris Guerrero doesn't want to reprise his role, handwave it as his Android 20 body having a different voice. And now that we have Frieza's dad, it'd be interesting to see Cell interact with his own "father".
  • It's perfectly possible that Gero will get a new voice actor, since DevilArtemis has already taken over the role of King Cold from another VO and already voices Gero in his own videos. It might also be better for Gero's VO to be replaced anyway, since Guerrero's voices for Cooler (confirmed to be in the show as of Episode 9) and Gero are similar.

Princess Snake will make an appearance.
She lives in the afterlife, so it's not unreasonable for her to come over, especially since she and Zarbon are supposedly dating.

The finale will involve Raditz and/or Cell making it out of HFIL and back to Earth.
Right in time for Buu's human extinction attack.
  • Or instead of just Cell and Raditz, ALL residents of all HFILs will escape to Earth thanks to King Cold's plan of freeing everyone, just as Buu is laying waste to every being on the planet.

Eventually, we'll get to the point in the story where Vegeta gets sent to HFIL following his sacrifice against Majin Buu.
Right in the same hole as all the people he killed and/or wanted to kill. Need I say more?
  • Considering Cell had to wait in line for an entire year before he was sent to HFIL, Vegeta would almost certainly be revived before he had a chance to receive his sentence.
    • Maybe yes, maybe no. Trunks was apparently already talking to King Yenma in the short time he spent dead by Cell's attack. It's unknown if King Yenma just worked really fast that day (he said himself he could judge billions of souls quickly back in Season 1), or if Trunks was simply able to cut in line due to his unique condition of being a time traveler or any other factor.
      • Rule of Funny suggests that Vegeta going right away would happen cause it's the funniest outcome, just like how it was funny that Cell had to wait a whole year.

Goz and Mez will enter the villains into the Otherworld Tournament event in this continuity.
As a team-building and trust exercise, with them thankfully being put on a leash. Of course, this means we'll get to see Goku interact with them.
  • King Cold has convinced King Yemma to allow them to hold a similar event called the "Hell Games," a tournament between the different HFILs in Hell.

We'll get a crossover of some sort between HFIL and Dragon ShortZ at some point, such as a Brick Joke or Synchronous Episodes.
Despite the border between their settings being life and death. But Goku did say he'd call sometime, after all.

His time in HFIL has already stripped away his ego and turned him into a much more passive man, who seems to at least be trying to be cooperative and friendly with the others. So if anyone's on the road to earning their ticket out, it's probably him.

Granted, we haven't been given any indication that he's sorry for his past behavior. But maybe they'll work on that later.

  • Or more specifically, going by the "Cell and Raditz escape Hell only to be killed by Super Buu" WMG above, when the wish happens to restore everyone not evil back to life, Raditz will be resurrected among those people, completing his character development. Whether or not Cell will be with him and also reformed (probably hard to believe, but whatever) is a whole other theory to explore.

On Raditz and Cell's relationship.
Compared to how Freeza and his men have evidently treated Raditz with as much respect as a chew toy, and with how much of a burden Guru is to take care of, it seems that Cell's more affable attitude and similar distaste towards HFIL's other residents (along with getting an equal face-full of humility as Raditz) might give the two enough common ground to start genuinely enjoying each other's company. Beyond, of course, being responsible for Goku's deaths and having a "brilliant scientist" as a father.

Cell is trying to enjoy his new afterlife.
Cell isn't the type to lie, so he is unlikely to pretend to improve to get out. Instead he'll try to get used to HFIL. The place isn't so bad aside from the people after all. He's becoming friends with Raditz, can blackmail Freeza into staying away, and doesn't have many issues with the others. He will decide that if he can't become a better person and he can't escape, he'll just make the best of a bad situation. This will likely lead to him changing for real and getting out without realizing he qualified.
  • This has some merit, as the end of Episode 3 has Cell thinking about both Frieza's speech in the first episode and Raditz's quip from earlier in the episode about how deliberately antagonizing Frieza is going to lessen his chances of getting out, and ultimately decide not to reveal the identity of Frieza's killer in order to not stoop to his level and try to undergo Character Development in order to leave HFIL legitimately.

We are only seeing a small section of HFIL run by Goz and Mez
Explaining why other evil characters of considerable power (like King Cold) are not present.
  • Given that, in Cell's words, "This is a cul-de-sac!", it's likely that the subdivision he ended up in is just one in the neighborhood, so to speak.
    • Episode 7 has King Cold outright mention that he oversees all of the HFILs, which might be where some of the other villains are.
      • The end of Episode 9 has King Cold introducing Cooler and Bojack as the "ambassadors" of a neighboring HFIL for a "morally compromised malefactor" version of the Otherworld Tournament called the "Hell Games." At least one other HFIL seems to be reserved for the movie villains.

The frog was one of Guru's collaborators
Jeice is skeptical about Guldo's argument of that Ginyu swapped bodies with a frog, because that would imply the frog was evil. What if it was? What if he helped Guru's plot to drink all the water? Him drinking so much water would cause an ecological disaster that would harm many lifeforms, not just the Namekians? Maybe Ginyu!Frog helped Guru steal the water for his own selfish desires.
  • Jossed in Episode 6. See the below WMG as for why.

The frog was actually mistaken for Captain Ginyu and isn't actually evil.
Despite the surprisingly pragmatic measures taken by Yenma, Goz and Mez, they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed sometimes. Yenma may have just thought the frog was actually Captain Ginyu.
  • Confirmed in Episode 6. Yemma was too disgusted at Ginyu's rap sheet to notice.

The series will take a turn for the dramatic when Majin Buu shows up.
Majin Buu is literally the "perfect storm" that would ruin the HFIL system. His powers stem at least partially from magic, so it's unknown if the power dampener would work, and even if it works at all, his body has the natural consistency of silly putty, so he can get out of it at will. And for the icing on the cake: Buu eats souls, so he capable of killing the dead. Having to defeat Buu before he destroys the cul de sac and devours all its inhabitants could be the event that lets Cell redeem himself (and maybe Raditz too). As for how Buu shows up... maybe Super Buu accidentally winds up ripping a portal into HFIL open when he screams his way out of the Room of Spirit and Time.
  • Possibly have this be the explanation for where Uub comes from in this continuity. After Buu causes tons of trouble in HFIL, the cast have to come up with a wacky scheme to get him reborn as a human.

Recoome and Guldo are BOTH right about Captain Ginyu.
Ginyu definitely swapped bodies with a frog while he was on Namek... but what if the "traumatic event" Recoome mentioned was being stuck as a frog? It's possible that he suffered some kind of psychotic break because of the swap and it carried over when he got his original body back. Additionally, since the body-swapping power is unique to Ginyu, we don't know the specifics of how body-swapping affects the souls of the swapped individuals; if Ginyu died while in the frog's body, his soul might have been affected by the frog's mind being in his own body at the time.
  • Nope. Turns out it was just a frog soul swapped into the Ginyu body. See Episode 6 for details.

Raditz and Dodoria have been sneaking out to see each other.
Both have been noted for sneaking out, and during the sharing circle in episode 5, Dodoria gestured to Raditz to sit next to her.
  • In Episode 3, Dodoria (very likely) missed an easy shot against Raditz in the dodgeball game and apoligized half-heartedly.
  • In Episode 6 Raditz claimed he snuck out to bang her. Cell thinks he's being sarcastic. Make of this what you will.
  • In Episode 7, Raditz shows off a String Theory pegboard, and a quick eye will see Dodoria's picture with an abbreviated "Dori" and a heart symbol, further fueling this.

At some point the villains will see Goku competing in the Other World Tournament
  • This has some merit, as a news broadcast in episode 5 states that the preparation for the Other World Tournament is under way, implying that they will be able to see it even if they're restricted to the cul-de-sac.
    • Aww, but I'm hoping for a field trip so they can heckle Goku.

Being The Needless makes Guldo's time stop ability even more powerful
Because the people in HFIL are dead, they don't need to eat, and likely also don't need to breathe. So, because Guldo's time stop ability is reliant on how long he can hold his breath, he can remain so indefinitely.
  • There is proof in canon as it's mentioned that in the other world Goku could be in Super Sayjin 3 for longer and it's the hand wave to why Goku could even do a Super Sayjin Kaioken in the filler arc.
  • I think a psychological need to breath limits it, but I can easily see him being able to do it for longer than before.
  • Jossed. Episode 6 shows that Guldo's limitations are still there, needing to catch his breath after exhausting himself searching Cell's house while stopping time.

Guru tricked the Namekians into believing that the Dragonballs can't affect water.
One would think that after a drought, the Namekians could just summon more water with a wish, but the longer the Albino Namekians were around, the more they would be able to poke holes in his story about them stealing all the water. Not wanting to give up his position of power, he claimed that the Dragonballs have some weakness against water, and only "fixed" the issue after the genocide was complete.

Radditz will get a redemption but not leave HFIL
Either choosing to stick around to help his buddy cell earn his own happy ending, or more hilariously simply that being able to stick around and fuck with Frieza now that he is stronger IS his personal heaven

The series final will end with Cell earning reincarnation, as Goten
Purely for the maximum irony, both are abnormally strong at an extremely young age, he ends up having a healthy sibling relationship with the man who killed him and being best friends with someone who in his timeline he killed, Gotens speciality with fusion is just a less horrific version of Cells absorbtion, and they even follow it with spitting gout lesser duplicates of themselves

Alternatively to the WMG above, the series will end with Cell reincarnating…. As Pan
Just imagine it. Cell has finally redeemed his soul, to the point that he can finally get a new life and leave HFIL behind… Only for him to learn that he’s going to be reincarnated as the daughter of the person who sent him there in the first place and Frieza, assuming he hasn’t been sent to super hell by then will laugh his ass off.

Related to the WMG about Cell reincarnating as Goten. Raditz will also reincarnate, as Present Trunks
Raditz reincarnating as Trunks would be deliciously ironic given how Vegeta would need to care, raise and train him when he couldn't give a lick of a damn about Raditz when he was alive. Bonus points for also being able to stay close to Cell.

Cell will get along (famously) with King Cold
Whether it's out of genuine interest or as a means to get back at Freeza (or both), Cell will befriend his father. Needless to say, this will be extremely annoying to Freeza.
  • Confirmed in Episodes 7 and 8. In Episode 7 Cell initially tries to approach King Cold probably hoping to score some brownie points in hopes of getting out of HFIL, but gets too pissed at the ogres' exercise to bother pursuing it, until Cold himself goes to talk to him at the end. Episode 8 has Cell and King Cold getting along pretty well much to Freeza chagrin and to make things worse (for Freeza), in Episode 10 Cell gets invited to King Cold's family dinner. Whether Cold wants Cell nearby just to further his plans or is genuinely interested in his friendship only time will tell...

Raditz has already redeemed himself and could leave anytime he likes, he's choosing to stay for Dodoria
We've seen that he's really nothing like the rest of the inmates, warning Cell his attitude towards Frieza is self-sabotaging, refusing to get involved in Cell's feud with the Ginyus, not displaying a lack of remorse about his actions. There's no reason why the ogres wouldn't declare him rehabilitated by now. However it's heavily implied he's in a relationship with Dodoria, and she doesn't seem to want to leave.

Janemba will be involved somehow
Now I know this is a strange theory to toss in because Fusion Reborn takes place during/after the Buu Saga which TFS is never gonna do, but honestly, with how everything after the Cell Saga has been TFS's own Dragon Ball storyline, I can imagine them taking some major aspects of Janemba and repurposing it into the HFIL storyline, perhaps as either a deeply-kept secret Hell has been hiding or as some alternate evil disposal unit under the advent that the Soul Scrubber is under maintenance. How Janemba would actually be involved, I'm unsure.

Raditz and Dodoria's relationship is viewed as an Ugly Guy, Hot Wife situation by her people
Dodoria said she was the most beautiful (and fertile) woman on her planet, so if anyone from there (and there would be a lot since Freeza blew the place up), they'd comment about the issue. Maybe her parents would visit and needle her for picking some ugly dude when she could have had anyone in the afterlife, or they might be open-minded and ask when can they expect grandkids. Or both.
Dodoria's Dad: So, when can we expect grandkids?
Dodoria: We're dead, pa! That's kinda out of the cards.
Dodoria's Dad: Oh, but you could still adopt! There's plenty of kids here after what your boss did!
Dodoria's Mom: Plus we don't need have to worry about getting some ugly freaks from your boyfriend's side.

Freeza snapping Cell's neck.
The ankle bracelets are genuinely indestructible but the souls in HFIL are only indestructible in any way that can lead to the removal of the bracelets. That way the overseers have a way to deal with souls if the threat of pain isn't enough by temporarily killing any troublemakers.

The residents of the other HFIL's are villains from different shows and anime.
since episode 7 teased that there is more than one HFIL in hell, that probably means that they might be reserved for villains from different anime series inhabiting them, and maybe Cell ends up being sent to a different one by mistake or the entire group could visit one as a team building exercise. Here are a few shows that can be pulled from and the inhabitants of their HFIL:
  • Akame ga Kill!: Esdeath, Seryu, and Syura.
  • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: DIO, Yoshikage Kira, Vanilla Ice, Esidisi, Wamuu, Diavolo, Risotto Nero, and countless more.
  • Hellsing (bonus points if they're played by their actors from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged) : The Major, Alexander Anderson, Rip Van Winkle, the Valentine brothers, Schrodinger, and Walter.
  • Kill la Kill: Ragyo Kiryuin and Nui Harime
  • Naruto: Madara, Itachi and Obito Uchiha, Zabuza, Haku
  • One Piece: Kurozumi Orochi, Absalom, Kanjuro, Vergo, Monet, Higuma
  • Bleach: Gin Ichimaru, Kaname Tosen, Yammy Llargo, Coyote Starrk, Lilynette Gingerbuck, Baraggan Louisenbairn, Ulquiorra Cifer, Nnoitra Gilga, Luppi Antenor, Zommari Rureaux, Szayelaporro Granz, and Aaroniero Arrururie
  • Soul Eater: Medusa and Arachne Gorgon
  • ChainsawMan: Makima
  • BlackLagoon: Hansel and Gretle
    • The end of Episode 9 reveals that one of the other HFIL's houses the DBZ movie villains like Cooler and Bojack, so the implication given is that the other HFIL's specifically relate to the various continuities of Dragon Ball and do not pertain to outside franchises.

The Arena King Cold is having built will be for part of the Otherworld Tournament
  • Episode 9 has King Cold state that the Arena is for a preliminary event of the Otherworld Tournament called "The Hell Games" (to which Cell humorously expresses a wish to contest in court due to the similarity to the "officially" licensed Cell Games. They had a sponsor and everything man!)

Frieza's Race are engineered organisms who reproduce via cloning.

It would explain the lack of genitals and Frieza's confusion about how they reproduce. They weren't designed to.

Raditz has already redeemed himself, but the ogres are keeping him there to keep the peace.
In episode six, it's confirmed that Ginyu is an innocent frog that they kept around because it improved the Ginyu Force. Raditz on the other hand helps establish a hierarchy, which in episode seven they made clear they would rather keep than stop everyone from abusing Raditz when Cold calls this out. Should Raditz leave, there will be a period of unrest as a new bottom rung is established. Yes, this would likely be Guldo, but he showed in episode three there's only so much shit he will take. Raditz on the other hand has accepted his place, so it's just easier to keep him around and hope that the others will eventually be nicer to him.
  • Debatable. Goz and Mez say that they didn't learn about the frog soul in Ginyu's body until after they'd already seen the Ginyu Force's improvements, and they also point out that nobody in upper management wanted to take responsibility for the mixup. I doubt they'd be able to get away with keeping Raditz there after he'd earned his freedom just because of the hierarchy, especially since King Cold is effectively the ogres' boss and was visibly unhappy about the way they let Raditz get bullied.

The other HFIL Cooler and Bojack hail from also has the rest of the movie villains, and maybe some from Super.
People like Moro, Broly and possibly even Kid Buu. I don't really see Black or Zamasu joining in since they were erased from reality in canon, probably meaning there 30 times more dead. Not sure how'd they would handle Janemba either. Bonus points if Cell Max is included.

Alternatively, these versions of Cooler and Bojack are the canonical ones within the DBZA universe
Rather than taking movie villains from their own unconnected canon, these versions of the two villains are part of the main timeline, with their deaths happening off screen (or in Bojack's case, when Cell exploded on King Kai's planet). This can also apply to the villains that are part of their own HFIL, meaning we won't actually see movie Broly because the canon one is still alive and in Vampa.

Broly is going to be the last resort of the HFIL Cooler is from
From the looks of it, it'll be canon DBZ villains vs. movie DBZ villains, the latter of which so far consists of Cooler and Bojack. This very likely also means that the likes of Turles and Lord Slug are also there...but especially Broly. I get the feeling that unless things start to go south for the other HFIL in this "Inter-HFIL Tournament", Broly is gonna be barred from competing due to his power making him a loose cannon...only for them to run that ban back out of desperation to win.

HFIL will end with an announcement for a Season 4 revival of Dragon Ball Z Abridged
One of the reasons Dragon Ball Z Abridged ended (aside from burnout and exhaustion with Toei's lawyers) was because the TFS team couldn't get the hang of computer animation in a way that would effectively parody the Buu Saga. But now they've teamed up with DevilArtemis, who has greatily improved his skills as a computer animator (especially with Blender) on his own channel and has proven he can keep up that quality on a regular schedule, thus potentially sustaining a revival. And considering all the TV shows which went off the air for decades only to later come back (Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Fawlty Towers) a reboot is not an outlandish possibility. Resolving the Other World Tournament Saga with the end of HFIL would be the perfect point to announce DBZA 's return.
  • We did get the Buu Bit's out of it.
  • Jossed. Kaiser, Lani, and Taka make it clear at the start of the commentary for episode 60 that, despite fan theories, they have no intention of making season 4.

Vegeta arrives in HFIL after his attempt to destroy Majin Buu, causing almost everyone to bond over their mutual hatred for him
The only exceptions are Guru and maybe Raditz. But, Vegeta may arrive in this HFIL, causing the MCM's to bond over their mutual hatred for him. This would improve their opinions of each other, since they have a common enemy in their midst.

The person in charge of Cooler and Bojack's HFIL could either be Bardock or Demon King Piccolo
Either the former for technically being the only good person(or atleast someone with good intentions) in HFIL allowing him to instantly upgrade to management status, or the latter for being one of Dragon Balls first ever villains.
  • I'm guessing Bizzaro versions of Goz and Mez named Moz and Gez.

Somebody will yell "Shut up Bojack!"
  • Not quite there, but, as Episode 10 showed, Cell did say "shut up!" to Bojack upon regenerating after his (almost) suicide attack.

Bojack and Cell will get along due to both being killed by Gohan
  • Seemingly jossed for now, Cell seems annoyed by him more than anything.
    • Who knows. Every time Bojack tried to tell how he met his match he would get cut off. If anything this either could bond them together or make Cell even more disdainful of Bojack.

Cell inherited the "squeaky toy" Running Gag, and will demonstrate it during the Hell Games
Because he has 10.78% of Goku's DNA.

King Cold is treating Cooler unfavorably and Cooler is playing along (mostly) as part of his masterplan
The Stinger of Episode 10 shows Cooler going into Guru's abode. There's no way he'd do that unless he was on King Cold's orders (or at very least a bit onto what his father is planning), and speaking of him, Cold is merely treating Cooler as, ahem, coldly as he can so not to rise any of Freeza's suspicions. Another reason is that Freeza is so volatile and immature he'd blow the entire plan, whatever it may be— hence why King Cold was so insistent that Cooler should've been the one to retrieve the bag, so he could keep close watch on Freeza during the dinner, especially since Freeza is already somewhat aware his father could be plotting something. They're galactic conquerors after all, not mindless brutes.

Cooler is going to kick someone in the dick at some point
Please let it happen, because it'd be so fucking funny.
  • If they do include Vegeta at some point, it'll probably be him.

Cold's redemption is at least somewhat genuine, and he really is trying to reform them.
But he'll decide Freeza is beyond redemption and leave him to his fate.
  • The fact Episode 10 shows King Cold is very disappointed in Freeza despite his usual spoiling and pampering puts some weight into this theory. Cooler may be a prick, but he seems smart enough to understand that he has to follow his daddy's example and at least put a facade of nicety if he wants a shot at graduating, even if just for the sole reason of screwing with Freeza. Zarbon, Dodoria and the Ginyus are all already on their way to redemption doing rather well by themselves in rehab whenever they're not being arm-twisted into obeying or following Freeza.

The 'family dinner' is more accurate than everyone thinks.
Since Cell shares Freeza's DNA he counts as family, and I'll bet Cooler/Bojack is going on behind the scenes.

Cell isn't going to make the big reveal that Freeza was killed by Trunks...
... Vegeta is. That is, if he does show up in HFIL. The Prince of All Sayians would take great delight and have the time of his death in tormenting Freeza with this piece of knowledge after all shit Freeza put him through in life.

Alternatively Cell is going to piss Freeza enough so he blurts out in frustration something like: "Yes, everyone knows you're dying to tell how I was felled by that filthy insubordinate monkey's crotchspawn!" in front of everyone... Probably the Hell Games even.
  • Ok but you suggesting it'd be during the Hell Games makes me think it will be Goku that reveals it: Freeza makes some comment about showing up 'the monkey who killed him' because Goku is in the audience and Goku innocently says 'I didn't kill you, Trunks did!' and when someone inevitably asks who Trunks is (hell, it might even be Cell goading Goku on), Goku says, 'you know, Vegeta's son!'.
    • Either that, or maybe Vegeta himself reveals it to get back at Freeza should he be in attendence.

Freeza is trying to sabotage (almost) everyone else's progress
Have you guys heard of the 'crab-bucket mentality'? The idea is basically, just like how if one crab tries to escape a bucket, the other crabs will pull it down with them, there are people that will sabotage others' attempts to improve themselves/their circumstances out of jealousy, spite, or a need to feel superior to the others. Almost everyone in the main HFIL has shown potential to actually make a Heel–Face Turn, the exceptions being Guru and Zarbon (and the latter I'd argue we haven't seen it simply because he's Out of Focus compared to Cell, Raditz, and the Ginyus, and even Dodoria got a moment to shine).

However, if everyone graduates, who would Freeza 'lord' over now, especially since he has no intention of going through a turn himself? He even seems to resent that Cui has graduated, proving it's possible. It's why he still gets the Ginyus, Zarbon, and Dodoria to do his bidding even if the ogres wouldn't approve of it, and why Cell holding the circumstances of Freeza's death over his head terrifies him, because if the others find out, they may not bother obeying him anymore, and may actually take their therapy seriously, and may get out of here, leaving Freeza alone with no one but himself and Guru.

Ironically, he doesn't seem to be doing much effort to sabotage Raditz, probably because he probably considers making him the Butt-Monkey enough to break him, or he thinks a lowly Saiyan won't be able to turn good (you know, despite Goku being living, er, dead proof it's possible), which is ironic since Raditz is probably the closest to actually graduating. And he doesn't bother with Guru because Guru is not one of his men and beneath his notice.

King Cold genuinely made a Heel–Face Turn. The problem is its of a Blue-and-Orange Morality.
So things that we would see as 'evil' would not be considered evil in Cold's eyes, or possibly others. The ogres would be prime candidates.
