WMG / Ghostwire: Tokyo

Go To

The events of the game will lead to a Broken Masquerade.
While most of the extracted souls seem broadly unaware of their surroundings so they won't know the full details of what happened but (even assuming everyone gets to come back into their bodies inside their clothes and the entire population of Shibuya doesn't have to be Naked on Arrival) they will be coming back a great amount changed. There'll be a huge chunk of missing time, cars suddenly crashed, various items missing etc. And that's just the population of Shibuya. The rest of the world will have seen a large chunk of Tokyo suddenly get swallowed by a mist that anyone who goes into vanishes, something that'd going to be international news happening to any city, let alone the capital city of Japan. Exactly what went down is only known to Akito and KK's surviving teammates but the world can't help but know that a supernatural (or at least unexplainable) event took place.

The game is a massive Altered World Event.

Unless the rest of the world is blind to what happened to Tokyo, then Jesse Faden and the FBC had to make sure nobody ever knows what happened here.

Tokyo is a much larger scale of AWE than Ordinary and the Hiss, though.
