The Yoobiiverse is a series of RPG Maker games taking place within a single multiverse, all linked by the creator, Yoobii
. They are each inspired by the Mother trilogy and the indie games it inspired.
The 'Verse consists of:
- The Annabelle (RPG Maker) series (Yume Nikki and LISA the First)
- The Brains And The Brawn series (LISA)
- The Annventure series (EarthBound)
- Mute, which takes place in the Annventure universe (Space Funeral)
- Antirealm
- Billie Eilish Fangame
The first three universes were initially wholly separate, until Annventure of a Lifetime brought them together in a Crisis Crossover, and then An Annventure To End Them All did it to an even bigger extent. Following the events of that game, the three universes have become intricately linked to one another, with a major character from the Brains and Brawn universe permanently residing in the Annventure universe, for example.
This series contains examples of:
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: The series has an odd relationship with the fourth. Annabelle has a mostly intact fourth wall with some jokes here and there, The Brains and The Brawn breaks it a bit more liberally, and Annventure straight up has No Fourth Wall, using things like game code as plot points.
- Cut Short: While each series has a definitive ending except for Annabelle, there were going to be further games made by Yoobii to tie up some loose ends. Unfortunately, Yoobii
Died During Production and the projects were laid to rest. - The Multiverse: Each series takes place in its own dimension, with them sometimes crossing over. The Annventure universe in particular has several parallel dimensions that Ann and Rudy interact with.
