Skeleton Boomerang is a Platform Game by Skeleboom Project.

The game stars Hunter, a man on a mission to lift the curse placed on his bloodline by the villainous Mr. Saturday. Hunter has managed to track Mr. Saturday to an island, where Mr. Saturday's been amassing a skeleton army with which he plans to turn the world into one great big skeleton party. With nought but his enchanted boomerang, Hunter needs to defeat Mr. Saturday in order to lift the curse, and save the world.

The game was released on August 1st, 2017.


Skeleton Boomerang contains examples of:

  • Ballistic Bone: Skeletons throw bones at player as a means to an attack.
  • Battle Boomerang: Hunter wields an enchanted boomerang. It can be imbued with elemental powers.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Hunter wears a blue jacket, and is out to stop Mr. Saturday from conquering the world with a skeleton army.
  • Bottomless Pits: Falling off screen will make player restart from the latest activated Checkpoint.
  • Checkpoint: There are fire orbs that acts as checkpoints when touched.
  • Collision Damage: Colliding with enemies hurts, unless the player performs a roll.
  • Cumulonemesis: One level has a small cloud that constantly follows the Hunter, periodically attacking him with lightning strikes.
  • Deadly Droplets: In graveyard levels, giant dark-green droplets fall from some of the ceilings. These hurt on contact.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: All enemies die exploding, while bosses undergo a Post-Defeat Explosion Chain.
  • Dem Bones: The vast majority of the enemies in the game are skeletons of various creatures.
  • Directionally Solid Platforms: Thin platforms can be jumped through from below and dropped down when needed.
  • Escape Sequence: There is a section in one of the graveyard levels where the player has to escape a giant skull.
  • Essence Drop: The enemies drop the same common collectable that is present in the level.
  • Fireballs: A few enemies like wall-mounted skulls spit balls of fire at Hunter.
  • Flash of Pain: Enemies flash red when hit.
  • Floating Platforms: Many platforma float or even move mid-air.
  • Follow the Money: Collectables often show the player where to go. At a few points, collectables even form even arrow shapes.
  • Gelatinous Trampoline: Blobs of pink jelly act as springboards.
  • Inexplicable Treasure Chests: Level Goal is a giant unopened treasure chest.
  • Level Goal: A big red treasure chest containing a golden horned skull.
  • Life Meter: Located in the top left corner of the screen, and made up of bones.
  • Mercy Invincibility: The Hunter has a few seconds of invincibility after getting hit, indicated by flashing red color.
  • Oh, Crap!: After you damage Mr. Saturday's second form enough to make him drop his giant boomerang, he panics as you throw said boomerang at him to finish him off.
  • One-Winged Angel: Mr. Saturday's second form is a giant floating skeleton.
  • Powerup Magnet: Items dropped by enemies will soon fly towards Hunter.
  • Sea Mine: Spiky black mines with spikes and blinking skull symbol explode upon contact. Some just float still in the water, others move back and forth.
  • Shows Damage: Bosses turn redder the more they're damaged.
  • Side View: How the game's viewed.
  • Signpost Tutorial: Tutorial messages are written in signposts at which the player can stop by to read.
  • Sinister Scythe: One of the bosses attacks with scythe-gun hybrid weapon.
  • Sizable Snowflakes: In snow levels, the size of the snowflakes can be significant.
  • Slippy-Slidey Ice World: Early levels are ice-themed, complete with icicles.
  • Spike Balls of Doom: Spike balls are a common hazard. Some fall from a sky to damage the player, some float mid-air and some spin on chains.
  • Spikes of Doom: Spikes show up as a fairly common hazard. Later levels include spikes that periodically retract and spikes that activate upon contact with a surface.
  • Stalactite Spite: Some of the icicles will fall only when Hunter is below them.
  • Stock Femur Bone: Health is represented as femur bones. Ballistic Bone attacks are also done with femur bones.
  • Temporary Platform: There are platforms in the game that will crumble after Hunter steps on them.
  • Vent Physics: Jumping over a fan makes the player jump much higher.
