Putt Party is a multiplayer mini-golf game created by Discord which can be accessed from the app's "Activities" menu within voice chat.

Currently, there are a total of 19 courses to choose from, each with six holes. Players can obtain a variety of power-ups throughout the game, affecting their own ball, their opponents' balls, or the environment as a whole.

On May 22, 2023, as part of Discord's 8th birthday celebration, the Paradise Update was released for the game, introducing Tournament Mode along with new courses and new power-ups.

Putt Party contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Alliterative Name: Two courses are named "Fortune Falls" and "Invisible Isles".
  • Alliterative Title: Putt Party.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The Super Size power-up increases the size of other players enough to make them unable to fit into the hole.
  • Bizarre and Improbable Golf Game: With various obstacles such as wind, speed boosts, jump boosts, bumpers, and power-ups to contend with, Putt Party games can get very chaotic, especially if there are more players.
  • Bottomless Pits: Balls will sometimes fall out of bounds, in which case the player will lose that stroke and be teleported back to their previous position. Some courses, particularly Leapington, require the player to use jump pads to "leap" across these gaps.
  • Cap: Players are allowed to carry up to three power-ups at a time. Any subsequently obtained power-ups will be automatically discarded.
  • Color-Coded Multiplayer: Each player's ball is a different color.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Whenever there are multiple pairs of portals on a single hole, they are given different colors to indicate which connects to which.
  • Cool Gate: A few of the courses introduced in the Paradise Update, especially Teletown, contain portal boundaries which transport players to disparate parts of the course while keeping their movement speed intact.
  • Fartillery: The Gas Giant power-up causes other players to be randomly pushed around, which is accompanied by a gas cloud and a farting noise.
  • Funnel Cloud Journey: One power-up produces a tornado which slowly moves around on the course and blows around players in its vicinity.
  • Gimmick Level:
    • In Mazemoor, some "holes" actually contain two or three different holes, and which one the ball lands in determines your spawn point for the next hole.
    • In Openborough, the entire course takes place in one continuous area, and each hole becomes the ball's spawn point for the next hole.
  • Green Is Gross:
    • With the Gas Giant power-up, the farts are shown as green clouds.
    • With the Sticky Walls power-up, the walls are covered in an animated green sludge texture to indicate that the power-up is in effect.
  • Gusty Glade: The Wind power-up produces a temporary gust of wind in a direction of the player's choice, which affects everyone in the game.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: The Steady Aim power-up completely removes the "wobble" that typically causes the direction of a stroke to vary by a few degrees.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: The Fun Size power-up drastically decreases other players' size for the duration of their next shot.
  • Inertia Is a Cruel Mistress: The Zanyball power-up increases the speed of other players' balls for their next shot, past the point where the speed starts to become a burden more often than not.
  • Intangibility: The Ghost Ball power-up temporarily allows the player to pass through walls and other obstacles, sometimes defying gravity as well.
  • Interface Screw: There are several power-ups which affect other players' aim arrows for their next shot:
    • Reversiball, which reverses the direction of the aim arrow.
    • Twisted Aim, which causes the arrow to repeatedly spin in a circle.
    • One Too Many, which gives each player three very wobbly aim arrows each pointing in different directions, and randomly chooses between them when deciding where to shoot the ball.
    • Guess Work, which removes the aim arrow and other indicators entirely.
  • Invisible Block: In Invisible Isles, parts of the wall and floor are made invisible, making it difficult to tell where to go. Fortune Falls also contains an invisible portion on the last hole.
  • Magnetism Manipulation: The Hole Magnet power-up causes the ball to magnetize into the hole if it gets close enough.
  • Nitro Boost: Many courses, particularly Boostington, contain speed boost pads which send the ball in a certain direction.
  • Odd Name Out: Prior to the Paradise Update, Multiton was the only course that didn't quite fit the naming pattern, not having an "ing" before the "ton".
  • Palette Swap: The floors and walls of each course are textured identically to one another, just with different color schemes.
  • Pinball Zone: Fortune Falls is a pachinko-themed Gimmick Level, with the ball being repeatedly bounced around as it rolls down into the holes. The "pegs" are usually regular walls, though sometimes they are replaced with moving walls, bumpers, or even speed boosts. Each "hole" is actually five different holes, with the center one being normal, the second and fourth ones adding a point to the player's score if the ball lands in them, and the first and last holes adding two points.
  • Powers Do the Fighting: By taking advantage of certain power-ups that physically move the ball around (usually Wind and/or Teleport), it's possible to get a "hole in zero" on some holes.
  • Slippy-Slidey Ice World: The Ice Rink power-up turns the floor into ice, causing players to slide around.
  • Spring Jump: The Chip Shot power-up allows the player to shoot the ball quite far into the air, rather than simply horizontally.
  • Springs, Springs Everywhere:
    • Many courses, especially Jumpington and Leapington, contain springboards that launch the ball upwards when touched.
    • Bumpers, meanwhile, bounce the ball horizontally. These are a theme of Bumpington, and the Bumper Spawn and Black Hole Bumper power-ups allow players to place them anywhere on the course.
  • Sticky Situation:
    • The Sticky Ball power-up makes all other players' balls stick to surfaces for the duration of their next shot.
    • The Sticky Walls power-up works similarly, but applies to all players (including the one who activated it) and lasts until the hole is complete.
  • Teleportation with Drawbacks: The Teleport power-up allows players to instantly travel to a location of their choice without wasting any strokes, but it does come with two main drawbacks. First, it has a limited range. Second, if the player is not precise enough in where they click, they may end up right next to the hole, just far enough away to not be able to roll in.
  • Theme Naming: Prior to the Paradise Update, all 13 courses had names ending in "ton".
  • Timed Mission: Players have two minutes to complete each hole, with annoying sound effects playing in the last 15 seconds to let them know that time is running. If they do not complete the hole in time, they will be automatically moved to the next hole.
  • Timed Power-Up: Unlovaball, Tornado, and Wind all only last for a certain amount of time before disappearing, regardless of how many strokes players make within that time.
  • Time Rewind Mechanic: The Rewind power-up moves your ball back to where it was prior to your most recent stroke, and removes that stroke from the total count, allowing players to re-do their shots.
  • Unrealistic Black Hole: The Black Hole Bumper power-up has a certain range outside of which there is absolutely zero attractive force. Additionally, the gravity only applies to players, and has no effect on the surrounding environment, even though there's a bumper sitting directly on top of it.
  • Vent Physics: Many levels, especially Gustington, contain fans which push players in front of them.
  • Video Game Stealing: The Steal Power Up power-up allows players to steal a power-up from another player of their choosing. One of the more "unrealistic" parts of this is that this can be done from any distance.
