Plant's Night Funkin Replanted is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod made by BRUHMYNAMEISDYLAN, inspired by Plants vs. Zombies and the skin mod of the same name that he also made.
The mod focuses on the misadventures of Solar Flare, who wants to become a professional rapper, and "borrowed" Boyfriend's microphone to do so. With the help of her best friend Green Shadow, she's going to meet a lot of friends and foes, in which she will rap battle them in order to improve her skills. But something much deeper is going to happen during her journey, something which she didn't even know she would learn.
Not to be confused with Plants vs. Rappers, another FNF mod based on PvZ.

TROPES LEFT UNTIL THE HUGE WAVE:
- Adaptational Villainy: Much like in Plants vs. Rappers, Boyfriend and Girlfriend became two of the millions of zombies that Zomboss has in his army, along with good characters at best (Carol and Nikusa) and antiheroic at worst (Ruv).
- Amnesiac Hero: Adam Advisor doesn't really remember about his past. He mainly knows his name, his function, the function of arrows and the health bar in the rap battles, why he has a unicorn horn on his forehead (though he doesn't want to talk about it unless you're very close with him), and that music helps him from becoming a bloodthirsty zombie, something water and fertilizer don't.
- Art Evolution: While the original skin mod is far from having bad graphics and artstyle, the art in this mod is much more polished, has more extra details during the songs and the sprites move more naturally, since some were moving a bit out of place in the former mod.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The bosses in the extra Freeplay songs are giants compared to Solar Flare (played with the Merlotus, who isn't this until his Sea Monster form mid "Lights Out").
- Author Avatar: Adam Advisor is this to BRUHMYNAMEISDYLAN.
- Battle Rapping: More focused here than in other mods. The battles are more like a "singing combat" in which the opponent uses different strategies (both In-Universe and in gameplay) in order to win.
- Black Eyes of Crazy: Almost all of the original characters have these in one way or another save for Lapollo: Peastrud and Tenoir by default, Adam Advisor in his nightmarish Game Face and the Merlotus in his Sea Serpent form when singing.
- Black Eyes of Evil: The Merlotus has these when not putting his Black Eyes of Crazy in his Sea Serpent form.
- The Cameo:
- Week 4 shows Garcello, the Doki Doki girls (in the Doki Doki Takeover! artstyle) and Cassette Girl walking down the street in the intro cutscene.
- At the end of Week 4, we get to see Carol, Nikusa, Ruv and Tricky in the horde of Zomboss' zombie army.
- Camera Abuse: If you fail in "Dodge This", one of Tenoir's projectiles damages the camera, to Solar Flare's surprise.
- Creepy Good: Adam Advisor, a zombie plant who might look creepy, but actually helps you and gives you advises.
- Cyclops: Tenoir only has one eye that comes out of his petals.
- Darker and Edgier: It may not seem like it at first, but this mod is actually way darker than its source material. It's mainly the fact that the events in which the story takes place show the hidden consequences of a Zombie Apocalypse in the series. Dr. Zomboss managed to infect 1/3 of the planet, to which not even Boyfriend and Girlfriend themselves were safe, and humanity is losing hope. He also appears to even used Boyfriend to make such progress, either by his music prowess or his unstoppable nature, similar to the Corruption. There are also suprisingly creepy characters which look like they came out of horror games than from PvZ, like Adam Advisor, Peastrud and the Merlotus.
- Darkest Hour: Dr. Zomboss managed to infect 1/3 of the Earth into zombies and humanity is in despair.
- Darkness Equals Death: Letting the lights go out in "Lights Out" gets you a Game Over.
- Deconstruction: Taking Plants vs. Rappers aside, you think that a Zombie Apocalypse in a mod based on a family-friendly franchise called Plants vs. Zombies would only include nameless unimportant Mooks as the villains and that Dr. Zomboss wouldn't manage to turn actual characters you know and love into savage undead slaves while also infecting 1/3 of the planet; because otherwise that would be just too dark... right? Well then, better think again.
- Doing The Impossible: Dr. Zomboss somehow managed to infect and enslave Tricky, a near-reality-warping demonic Monster Clown who's already a zombienote , Nikusa, who's a star-made Physical Goddess, and Carol, who's an angel (though he also managed to turn a demon like Girlfriend into a zombie like in Plants vs. Rappers, so this last one is not really that crazy).
- Emoticon: Sometimes, these appear in the talk boxes during dialogues, such as ":D".
- Evil Laugh: Adam Advisor is not evil, but boy, does he have a very crazy laugh.
- Feathered Fiend: Or, well, petaled, in this case. Lapollonote is a huge chicken-like flower that only posseses two long bird-like legs and no hands, and is a skilled DDR player that challenges Solar to a dance duel, and slams her to the ground should she fail. This actually gets subverted, however, as her description in the almanac says that she only wants a partner to play with and dreams to become a DDR champion despite the bullying she got and her lack of hands, which doesn't stop her from being acrobatic and flexible.
- Foul Flower:
- Almost all of the four bonus bosses:
- Peastrud is a giant red flower who forces his victims to eat a pile of tacos just to prove he's the superior Taco Bell enjoyer (yes, seriously).
- Tenoir is a sharp-shooting flower that blasts thorns at you and will only consider you worthy if you manage to avoid his projectiles. In his almanac quote, he even seems to be so cocky to the point of blatantly tell (not even asking) Solar Flare that he'll take her out on a date if she survives.
- The Merlotus actually seems to be genuinely friendly, but if you don't keep the rhythm in "Lights Out" (and therefore let the lights fade), he'll literally drag Solar to the depths of his swamp in an attempt to drown her. Also, if he plays his instrument for too long, he becomes a Sea Serpent-like monstruosity that drains Solar's health and makes the lights fade faster.
- Subverted with Lapollo. While it's true that she slams Solar Flare to the floor if she fails, she actually just wants to have fun with her by challenging her to a DDR dance duel and dreams to become a professional DDR player.
- Subverted with Adam Advisor. He does look scary, but that's only when he's really hungry or angry. In truth, he's actually a Nice Guy who only wants to hang with others and give advises, but doesn't remember much about himself and music is, as of now, the only thing that can keep him from becoming a bloodthisty zombie (or worse).
- Almost all of the four bonus bosses:
- Game Face: Adam Advisor puts a demonic Nightmare Face when hungry or angry. He also puts this face while singing in the original skin mod.
- Glasgow Grin: One of Adam Advisor's lovely features when putting his Game Face, besides his Black Eyes of Crazy.
- Idiot Ball:
- Both Solar Flare and Green Shadow treats both Pea Pelter's sight of a strange zombie with a sunflower for a head roaming around the backyard, and Rose's speech about sunflowers transcending to different planes of existence during freestyles to avoid getting hurt and the existence of a sunflower able to use magic that only appears in the fourth dimension and that is always accompanied by music as "a load of newspaper zombie nonsense"/"a load of baloney"... even though it's far from the first time the series have managed to pull something crazy due to its Surreal Humour, not to mention the fact that Rose is a wise and powerful magician who knows a lot of incredible information a la Doctor Strange (and granted, the Pea Pelter is a Nervous Wreck and a dirty cheater, but zombies with plant heads exist in the original series in the form of the ones from the "ZomBotany" minigames).
- At the beginning of Week 3, Night Cap mentions that he needed to train because he was sensing a huge wave of zombies approaching and that he needed to be prepared. While it's understandable that the girls wanted to spend more time with him due to his monthly workaholic routine and that he needed to chill for a bit, they literally could've pick any other day for them to hang out instead of making him lost his time during the Darkest Hour, something he clearly said he was sensing. This is specially jarring with Green Shadow, of all people, who's one of the few down-to-Earth individuals in the group.
- Knight of Cerebus: Adam Advisor, Peastrud and the Merlotus, while zigzagging in some cases, still set the tone for the Darker and Edgier side of this mod, but a special mention goes to Dr. Zomboss himself. While he's already a Not-So-Harmless Villain in his home series, especially in the Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare series, his threat here is treated as one that's so high that turns the entire mod's story into a dark one, since not only he's one step closer from Taking Over The World like in Garden Warfare, but his zombies here are not just the regular Mooks from PvZ, but also zombified versions of characters we know and love from other mods and series, including Boyfriend and Girlfriend themselves.
- The Many Deaths of You: So much so, in fact, that CommunityGame says this is probably the mod with the largest quantity of Game Overs in all of FNF mods in existence. To prove his point and not make the page larger than what it already is, here's a video of all of this mod's game over screens so far.
- Mood Whiplash:
- The mod plays a lot with Bathos in some parts, like in the first moment Adam Advisor truly appears in Week 2: he stares at Solar and the rest of the cast with a Nightmare Face, then there's static in the camera and the screen turns red... And then he just puts a normal happy face, complete with a "quack" sound.
- The Bathos it's actually inverted into a Surprisingly Creepy Moment with the Merlotus, though. He first appears playing his Sax-A-Boom while Solar plays the drums in the first section of "Lights Out". Then he Turns Red and transforms into a Sea Monster midsong... Only to then go back to the Merlotus playing his Sax-A-Boom again and ending with a title card that says "Le Fin".
- After finishing the last song of Week 4, Rose, Solar Flare and everyone else smile (even Kernel Corn), while some funny stuff happen... Then that same newspaper Rose and Cassette Girl read on the Week's intro cutscene and was blown away by the wind gets stuck in an electric power pole, finally showing to the camera why they reacted like that: "Humanity doomed as zombie population gradually increase". We then cut to Zomboss' zombie army, while it's revealed that he managed to infect 1/3 of the Earth.
- Mythology Gag:
- Chompzilla having a Pea Pelter in her mouth is a reference to the Snap Pea in Plants Vs Zombies 2.
- Kernel Corn's dance in Week 4 is the same type of dance that a group of Kernel Corns do in the original skin mod, replacing Mommy Mearest's henchmen from the main game.
- Solar Flare's quote in the almanac is the same lead paragraph she has in Plants vs. Zombies: Heroes: "When she's on fire, she's on FIRE. And so are the Zombies".
- Night Cap's description in the almanac also has a reference to his lead paragraph in PvZH ("He's a fun guy"), only in this case, the pun is not intended.
- Nervous Wreck: Pea-Pelter is a paranoid and overly nervous Peashooter that has an anxiety disorder since he was born and keeps pelting peas at the plants for no reason. He doesn't trust his own family and cousins because he thinks they're zombies dressed up as plants and even his therapist bailed on him for pelting 452 peas at him (yes, he counted). It goes to the point that not even Adam Advisor wants to be with him.
- Non-Human Undead:
- Adam Advisor is a (revenant) zombie sunflower.
- Besides Girlfriend, who's a zombie demon like in Plants vs. Rappers, there's also Carol, who's a zombie angel, and Nikusa, who's a zombie Solarisapien.
- Noodle Incident:
- Almost everything about Adam Advisor is this, since he doesn't remember anything about his past. One of the things he does know, however, is the fact of why he has a unicorn horn on his forehead... but he doesn't want to talk about it unless you're very close with him.
- How did Solar Flare "borrowed" Boyfriend's microphone and why does she keeps putting the word in quotes even though she says she didn't steal it from him? This is yet to be explained.
- Nice Job Breaking It Heroine: Heroines, in this case. While it's understandable Solar and Green Shadow just wanted to hang out and make Night Cap go out with them and the rest of the Plant Heroes more, the latter was right about preparing for a huge wave of zombies he was sensing, as the end of Week 4 reveals that 1/3 of the Earth was infected by Dr. Zomboss, humanity is in despair and Solar making rap battles with the rest of the cast instead of focusing on that great danger was nothing but a waste of timenote . The fact that Night Cap also says he might take a two weeks long sleep and let his students take a vacation in such Darkest Hour doesn't help matters.
- Original Character: Adam Advisor, Peastrud, Tenoir, the Merlotus and Lapollo.
- Our Mermaids Are Different: The Merlotus is a Merplant/Merflower, with leaves as "arms", "hair" and "fish tail" and a lotus flower as a biological "crown". He often swims in the sewage water, yet somehow seems to grow healthy and strong. He also loves music so much that he drowns his victims if they miss the beat and turns into a Sea Monster if he plays his instrument for too long.
- The Paranoiac: The Pea-Pelter thinks that his family and cousins are actually zombies dressed as plants.
- Prophet Eyes: Adam Advisor has these due to being a revenant sunflower.
- Sea Monster: The Merlotus, an aquatic plant that turns into a monster when he's too much into music and attacks you if you don't follow the beat.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: In the original skin mod, Adam Advisor wears a blue suit with tie a la Phoenix Wright, in constrast to his more farmer-style outfit he has in this mod.
- Shell-Shocked Veteran: Kernel Corn is, to put it simple, traumatized. He remembers one war he had against the zombies and how he got Survivor Guilt after watching his fellow corn comrades die. Basically, he's a source for Black Comedy Non Sequitur in Week 4.
- Shout-Out:
- Some of the almanac quotes have many outside references (and one Real Life event allusion):
- "It's time to destroy building and chew zombies. And I'm all out of zombies" -Chompzilla.
- "He is the biggest bomb of them all. Making the Fat Boy look like a firework cracker" -DoomCap.
- "This is my limited edition Sax-A-Boom. l found it at a Tenacious D concert. Pretty neat huh?" -Merlotus.
- "Yes, I know my name is badly translated. I didn't study Duolingo hard enough" -Lapollo.
- Speaking of Lapollo, she's a DDR player who wants to become a champion.
- Peastrud is an obsessed and psychotic Taco Bell fanatic who forces his victims to eat a pile of tacos just to prove he's the superior Taco Bell enjoyer (yes, really).
- Adam Advisor's almanac image shows him doing MrBeast's memetic pose from an Epic Rap Battles of History parody.
- Some of the almanac quotes have many outside references (and one Real Life event allusion):
- Speaking Simlish: Solar speaks like this in the cutscenes while having subtitles that translate her gibberish.
- Sliding Scale of Comedy and Horror: Despite this mod being way darker than the original PvZ, it certainly has its moments of Bathos, mixing horror with the ridiculous humor from its source material. For starters, Adam Advisor is more ominous-looking in Week 2, but gets progressively dorkish as the story goes (his almanac image even references the MrBeast meme pose). The same goes with Peastrud and the Merlotus in the extra songs. The former is a giant red flower with Blackshot Eyes that even gets creepier when he attacks Solar should you miss a note in "Tac or Die"... but the level itself is about Solar trying to finish a mountain of tacos and Peastrud's almanac description says he's a Taco Bell fanatic and that's why he has this strange obsession. On the other hand, the Merlotus is a guy that plays Jack Black's Sax-A-Boom and swims in sewage water filled with gunk, pee and poo, but at the same time, his song "Lights Out" has Solar Flare trying to appease him by playing the drum to the beat in order for the lights to not fade and not get dragged into the depths by the Merflower. He also turns into a creepy Sea Monster midsong.
- Turns Red: The Merlotus transforms into a Sea Monster, drains Solar's health and makes the lights fade faster midsong in "Lights Out".
- Vocal Evolution: The original skin mod, as the name suggests, replaces the characters from Friday Night Funkin' with PvZ characters, and as such, the cast from that mod have the voices of those characters, some matching more than others. Here, the same characters from Weeks 1 to 4 and Solar Flare have new original voices that matches each one of them (except from Green Shadow, who still has Girlfriend's voice, though this might change in the Week 1 and 2 updates).
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Zigzagged with Night Cap. He wanted to win the rap battles against Solar Flare in Week 3, using dirty tricks in favor. This was mostly because he wanted to be left alone to continue training. However, he also wanted to win in order to retrieve Boyfriend's microphone to his rightful owner that Solar Flare "borrowed" from him. Still, he didn't need to go as far as threating Solar with a nuclear bomb-like Doom-shroom in the last song in order to do so.
