Mighty Aphid is an Action Platform Game by Cascadia Games.

The year is 1913, and Dr. Cover's collection of moon gems has been stolen by the evil Lady Bug. She as used the gems to create hideous bug monsters that are now running rampant throughout the city.

Using his father's technology, young Avery "Aphid" Cavor sets out to put an end to Lady Bug's plans.

The game was released on June 25th, 2021.


Mighty Aphid contains examples of:

  • Arm Cannon: Avery's weapon is one of these that he always sticks straight out.
  • Big Bad: Lady Bug.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Pretty much all the enemies in the game are giant bug monsters.
  • Crate Expectations: There are crates in the game that Avery can destroy for items.
  • Double Jump: Avery can do this.
  • Giant Spider: One of the enemy types in the game are spiders that are almost as long as Avery is tall.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Having the same parents as the half-selenite Moon Raider protagonist.
  • Life Meter: In the top left corner of the screen. It also includes a gem counter.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: Enemies explode into little fleshy chunks when beaten.
  • Made of Explodium: There are objects in the game that look like a red drum with gold rings around the middle. Shooting them causes them to explode.
  • Power Copying: For every boss you beat, you gain an ability off of them.
  • Punny Name: The Big Bad calls herself "Lady Bug", like the insect.
  • Rewarding Vandalism: You can destroy items like crates and bottles to get items out of them.
  • Side View: The game is viewed this way.
  • Victor Gains Loser's Powers: Avery gains new weapons from each defeated boss courtesy of his father.
