Experience the beauty and detail of mowing the Great British countryside.
Cashing in on the early 2020s fad of career simulators, Lawn Mowing Simulator is a game developed by Skyhook Games and published by Curve Games that was released to Steam on August 10, 2021. In the game the player takes the role of a newly-hired employee at a lawn mowing company and has to accept jobs around the greater British countryside mowing lawns for residents and businesses. The player is able to take control of several real-life riding lawn mower models and must mow landscapes while also being careful not to mow over anything else that could hurt their job reputation or cause damage to the lawn mower. Money earned from working can be used to buy new mowers, hire more employees for the company who can drive older mowers, as well as new accessories but must also be used to maintain and repair the mower.

The game had a DLC pack released in November 2021 which adds string trimmers as usable tools as well as two new sets of maps, Ancient Britain which adds areas based on Britain's history, and Dino Safari, based off the real-life adventure parks.

Lawn Moving Simulator provides examples of:

  • Boring, but Practical: Just as in real-life, lawn mowers can't do a lot, but they do very well at their one job. Subverted with the string trimmers which have more flexible uses but can be mundane to use over large areas.
  • Character Customization: Every character of your company has to be created and customized to have different facial features and body builds. In addition their clothes can be customized and new outfits can be purchased with the earned money.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: You'd never think cutting grass in real-life could be this fun or satisfying. Yet this game makes it seem fun even though it is realistic.
  • Product Placement: Real-life lawn mowers are present including Toro, SCAG, and STIGA as well as real-life models that were available circa late 2020-early 2021.
  • Unexpectedly Realistic Gameplay: The game runs the job of mowing lawns with as much realism as possible. Having to work at a good speed, making sure you don't destroy landscape or garden areas with the mower, and cleaning and maintaining your mowers.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: The game takes place in England and even though every location is shown on a map, it does not state where in England that location is.
  • Work Info Title: You own a lawn care company and have to take jobs mowing lawns in a career simulation game.
