In the future, the MegaCorp Cool-Toyz Inc created a series of Living Toys called Ultra Pets. At first these seemed like the absolute perfect pets, until a mutation transformed all of them into violent monsters. With humanity gone a trio of unlikely heroes has risen up. Gori: an adorable cat and one of the only surviving Ultra Pet prototypes, F.R.A.N.K: a sentient hoverboard with energy blades and a foul mouth, and CH1-P: a somber A.I who operates the team's spaceship. Together the trio embark on a quest to take down the Adorable Army, find their missing creator Professor Y, and discover the truth behind the toy uprising.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage is an upcoming Hack and Slash game by Wired Productions. It is set to release in August 29, 2024 for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and for Steam. An Alpha demo is available on itch.io and a sign ups for a new demo are available on the game's website.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage contain examples of:

  • Badass Adorable: Gori is an adorable and fluffy cat, yet he's still capable of slaughtering hundreds of monstrous toys.
  • Bears Are Bad News: The Bear in a Box in a giant jack-in-the-box that walks around on spider legs and has the head of a bear with its skin peeled off. It’s also very vocal about its intent to brutally murder Gori.
  • Detachment Combat: The Bear in a Box is capable of detaching its hands which can walk on their fingers…and shoot lasers.
  • Grotesque Cute: The prime aesthetic of the game is this with a Cyberpunk spin, where the protag is a cute kitty violently killing mutant zombie unicorns among other adorably twisted monsters.
  • The Eeyore: CH1-P constantly speaks in a dull monotone and has a pessimistic view of life.
  • Facial Horror: The Bear in A Box is missing the outer layer of fur in its face.
  • Living Toys: The protagonists and antagonists are both these.
  • Monster Clown: The Carnival Freak is one.
  • Neon City: One of these is the setting for the first level.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: F.R.A.N.K has a profanity filter set, which bleeps out all his attempts at swearing.
  • Talking Weapon: F.R.A.N.K is a sentient hoverboard and Gori's primary weapon.
  • Trade Snark: Featured prominently throughout the game.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: Something caused the Ultra Pets to mutate into violent monsters who wiped out humanity.
  • Unicorn: The Ugly-corns and their further mutated forms serve as the most common enemies in the game.
  • The Virus: The introduction to the Ugly-corn enemy type has them infecting a regular Unicorn doll, turning it into one of them.
