Funtime With Buffy is a Survival Horror Video Game by Darius Bucataru.
One night, a child is watching Betty Boop on TV when her mother tells her she'll be going out for a bit. While she's out, she wants her to put away her toys that she's strewn around the house. Then she leaves.
At that point, an old acquaintance returns.
You see, the child has a plush rabbit toy named Buffy. Buffy's been languishing in the basement for some time now, and he's not happy at being so coldly abandoned. Now that the mother is out, he's decided now is as good a time as any to enact his revenge.
The game was released on December 1st, 2020, and can be downloaded from Steam here
. No connection with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise.
Funtime with Buffy provides examples of:
- Alone with the Psycho: In this case, the psycho is a murderous toy rabbit.
- Invisible Wall: While you can get to the top of the fences if you know what to do, you can't go beyond them to see the rest of the neighbourhood.
- Killer Teddy Bear: Guess who.
- Living Toys: Buffy is a living, murderous rabbit toy out to kill the Player Character.
- Medium Blending: The game uses actual footage from Betty Boop cartoons on the television in the living room.
- One-Hit-Point Wonder: Getting caught by Buffy results in a cutscene of him pulling out a knife, and then stabbing you. Game Over.
- Scary Teeth: Buffy has a mouth full of sharp teeth.
- Slasher Smile: Buffy has one that shows of all his sharp teeth.
- Vengeful Abandoned Toy: The plot of the game is that a little girl is left at home while her mother is out, and is expected to clean up her toys. While she's doing this, she's being pursued by her old plush rabbit Buffy, who wants to kill her for leaving him in the basement for years.
- White Bunny: Buffy is white and pink, but mostly white.
