Ghost Recon: Predator is a Third-Person Shooter game for the PlayStation Portable by Ubisoft, which was released in North America, Europe and Oceania in October/November 2010.

Player assume the role of a Ghost team covertly deployed to Sri Lanka after US-flagged fishing vessels were attacked near Sri Lankan territorial waters. Initial reports suggest that Pakistan may be behind it, but the GR team later finds out Sri Lanka is in another civil war and find out who's the culprit. This comes while the possibility of conflict in the region may involve Pakistan.

Has nothing to do with the Predator franchise (though one wish it had).

Tropes found in Ghost Recon: Predator:

  • Dirty Communists: Game information suggests that the People's Action Front (PAF) subscribes to communism.
  • Driving Question: Who has to gain by targeting US-flagged fishing vessels and killing its crew?
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The Ghosts secure the Sri Lankan president from loyalist control and take out Energy Minister Sunil Ranga after it's revealed that he's the Big Bad.
  • False Flag Attack: The PAF is a known Sri Lankan terrorist group, but it's mentioned that they were never told to attack foreign fishing vessels. That came from the Loyalists.
  • Framing the Guilty Party: The PAF didn't attack the fishing vessels.
  • Inspired by…: With some shades of Ripped from the Headlines, the story is based on the Second JVP insurrection, which took place from 1987 to 1989.
  • Police Are Useless: The Sri Lankan police seem to be outmatched by the PAF and the Loyalists, which is why the Mumpuri Guard was set up by Hisan, who's a Sri Lankan police officer and pissed by the force's incompetence.
  • South Asian Terrorists: The CIA finds out that it's a Sri Lankan terrorist group PAF that may be targeting the fishing vessels. Later on, it's revealed that the Loyalists are the major group responsible for trying to put Sri Lanka in a civil war. And they're actually the ones attacking the boats in order to frame the PAF.
  • Vigilante Militia: The Mumpuri Guard is formed to ensure the civilians are protected from the actions of the Loyalists and PAF. They also assist the GR team once they're inserted into Sri Lanka.
  • Urban Warfare: The Ghosts fight in a mansion full of Loyalist terrorists before they can get to Ranga.
