Become the law, or save lives!
Flashing Lights is an open-world career simulation game published by Excalibur Games and released on June 7, 2018.

The game is a Wide-Open Sandbox game where the player can take on the role of a first responder including a police officer, fire fighter, or paramedic, and participate in calls to emergency situations. The game also features online co-op allowing up to ten players to participate in a single game and help with the same calls.

Tropes:

  • Character Customization: The player is able to create their own police officer, firefighter, or paramedic, and is able to design every aspect of them from the body shape and fitness level to what skills they are better at.
  • Product Placement: The police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, and other vehicles in the game are all based off of real-life models.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: The game's fictitious city is not given a name but is based on a typical American city.
  • Wide-Open Sandbox: The game's world is fully open and there is no plot to follow. The player just has the free capability to roam the world and help others when duty calls.
