• Completely Different Title: The Norwegian language edition of the first novel Independence! was named Missouri!. When the series eventually published a novel with the English title Missouri!, the Norwegian edition was named St. Louis!.
• House Pseudonym: Noel Gerson wrote the first seventeen novels under the name of Dana Fuller Ross. Upon his death in 1988, the pen name lived on with three different authors, who finished the series and did the sequel and prequel novel series. This also happened to Gerson's White Indian series; he wrote the original twelve under the name Donald Clayton Porter, and after his death a different person used the same pen name to write the final sixteen.
