- Dueling Works: With Donkey Kong Country. Both series drew attention for their use of computer graphics in their sprite work.
- Late Export for You: Even though the Mega Drive/Genesis was a Japanese console, neither of the Vectorman games were released in Japan on cartridge. Vectorman 1 was released in Japan on 2000 when it was included on "Sega Archives from USA Vol. 1", a japanese only compilation series of Sega Genesis games for Windows 98. Vectorman 2 saw release there on Vol. 3 of the same compilation series later that same year. While Europe and Australia got the first Vectorman on cartridge, they didn't get Vectorman 2 in any form until Sonic Gems Collection was released in PAL regions on September 30, 2005. Vectorman 2 was only released in North America on cartridge format.
- Port Overdosed: These games (more the original than the sequel by a hair) are a staple of many Sega Genesis compilations, dating back to the late 90's and continuing even into the 2020's.
