Trivia / Ultimate Custom Night

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Due to the large cast in the game, there are plenty of examples; Matthew Curtis voices both Music Man and Nightmare Balloon Boy, Jena Rundus voices both Mangle and the Marionette, Christopher McCullough voices both Classic Foxy and Pigpatch, and Joe Gaudet voices Mr. Hippo, Rockstar Foxy and Funtime Foxy. Heather Masters also voices both Circus Baby and Scrap Baby.
  • Actor-Inspired Element: Aleks Le came up with the glitchy tone and distorted of Nightmarionne's voice on his own when auditioning for the character. This is especially notable given that he only had between 30 minutes and an hour to turn something in.
  • Creator's Oddball: Eric D. Ward's voice acting portfolio primarily consists of radio advertisements. Voicing a video game character like Nightmare is very much outside his usual wheelhouse.
  • Defictionalization: After seeing Toy Freddy play "Five Nights with Mr. Hugs", it wasn't long before fans started trying to remake the game he was playing. And now, lo and behold, you can play Five Nights With Mr. Hugs (& Friends) for yourself!
  • He Also Did:
    • While Joe Gaudet became far more well-known due to his roles in UCN, he has had voice roles on several PBS Kids shows in the early 2010s, most notably Radar in Astroblast! and Professor Fizzy in Fizzy's Lunch Lab.
    • Ally Johnson (Rockstar Chica) had many roles before UCN, starring as Ava from The Walking Dead, and created DRYVE.
    • Madison Brunoehler (Happy Frog) has more than enough experiences with acting before in her web series Madi2TheMax.
    • Amber Lee Connors (Toy Chica) has also had a lot of voice acting experience, perhaps most notably playing Android 18 in Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
    • Hans Yunda, the voice actor for Withered Bonnie, has done voice acting for some Spanish-language TV shows, and also plays guitar on his YouTube channel.
  • One-Book Author: Nightmare is the only video game role Eric D. Ward has done in his career, with the rest of his work primarily being in radio advertisements and voicemail lines.
  • Playing Against Type: Aleks Le traditionally plays scrawny and/or handsome guys in anime and video games, a far cry from the glitchy and monstrous voice he gives for Nightmarionne here.
  • Schedule Slip: Inverted as per the norm for the series; the game was originally going to be released in August 2018, but the release date was pushed forward to June 29th, and then pushed forward again to June 27th. Had Scott not promised not to release the game while Dawko was on holiday, it would've been pushed forward even further to June 22nd.
  • Two Voices, One Character: As mentioned in Acting for Two, the Marionette is voiced by Jena Rundus while Lefty is voiced by Lena Hill, even though the latter is actually the former in disguise.
