• Orphaned Reference: Since Octane's role in this episode was originally written with Blitzwing in mind^note the change was to promote Octane's newer toy, there are quite a few leftovers from this old script. For instance, Octane's familiarity with Starscream and some of the deceased Decepticons (despite never having interacted with them onscreen before) and his exile from the Decepticons are both things that apply to Blitzwing more than Octane.
• The Original Darrin: Hirotaka Suzuoki returns as Powerglide in the Japanese version after having been replaced by Masashi Ebera for "The Five Faces of Darkness".
