Trivia / The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Northern War

Go To

  • Acting for Two:
  • Cross-Regional Voice Acting: The dub uses both Dallas and LA talents (via Okratron5000’s Texas and West offices) allowing the cast of the game to reprise their roles as the games were recorded at the LA-Based PCB Productions.
  • No Export for You: Despite the anime's broadcast and streaming rights outside of Japan being licensed exclusively to Crunchyroll, it isn't available on Crunchyroll in South-East Asia. Meanwhile the anime is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Japan, but is not available on Prime Global in South-East Asia either. The anime is also not exported in Eastern Europe.
  • The Original Darrin: Coinciding with the actor's return in Reverie, Lechter is once again voiced by Max Mittelman in Episode 5 after previously being replaced by Phillip Reich in Cold Steel IV. However, Mittelman would pull out after just one episode.
  • The Other Darrin:
  • Recycled Soundtrack: A large portion of the music is reused from the first 3 Cold Steel games.
  • Role Reprise: Junichi Yanagita once again plays Colonel Valestein after briefly voicing him in a flashback during Cold Steel III.
  • Uncredited Role: The new voices for Rean, Altina, Millium, Aurelia, and Sara are left completely uncredited.
  • What Could Have Been: Among the announced role reprisals from the games were Rean, Altina, Millium, Aurelia, and Sara. However, all five of these characters ended up being voiced by different actors in the anime itself, with Sean Chiplock (Rean) and Xanthe Huynh (Altina) citing the reason as being due to "unfortunate circumstances that couldn’t be resolved in time."
  • You Sound Familiar:
    • Rogan Mugart is voiced by Takayuki Kondō, who previously played Agate Crosner and Wallace Bardias in the games.
    • Luci Christian, who previously voiced Renne Bright in the animated OVAs of Trails in the Sky, voices both Miju and her grandmother.
