- The Character Died with Him: Dave Legeno (Eddie O'Connor) passed away in 2014 while in Arizona due to heat-related issues while hiking. Unless the game gets a reboot, any "potential" sequels will not have him around.
- Dawson Casting: Sam is said to be nineteen. She was voiced by the twenty-nine year old Jane Peachey.
- Fake Russian: The Canadian Robert Jezek voiced Viktor Skobel, the Slovenian Yana Yanezic voiced Nadya Prushnatova. Alexei was voiced by the English John Albasiny, who actually lived in the Soviet Union in The '80s.
- Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Nick Collins is said to have died (most likely in the first game's ending) and his younger brother Jimmer is now running his firm. It's been speculated that Nick Collins' death was due to his actor Russell Levy's legal troubles. Given that Jamahl was played by his original actor, this could well be the case.
- What Could Have Been: Like The Getaway, Sony didn't publsh the game. Sega took on localizing and marketing it in Japan.
