  • Banned in China: In Australia, the game was originally released uncut with an MA15+. It was later resubmitted and banned due to a scene of detailed torture. A censored version omitting this scene was later released with an MA15+.
  • Follow the Leader: The game was essentially a British version of Grand Theft Auto. Ironic considering Rockstar Games is a British company.
  • Underage Casting: Charlie Jolson's actor, Ricky Hards, who was born on December 13, 1963 (making him under 40 while the game was developed). He was picked to play Charlie as he read the part well, but was far too young. As such, the art department constructed an older looking face, based on his own, that he would wear to make himself look about thirty years older.
  • What Could Have Been: Sony would have published the game in Japan, except that the first one was done by Capcom due to the company being known to cater to kids and families alike in the Japanese gaming market.
