- Creator Backlash: Joey has admitted a few times on Trash Taste that he regrets calling his channel "The Anime Man" in hindsight, as he feels the title limits his range since many expect him to talk strictly about anime thanks to it.
- Promoted Fanboy: Joey managed to land a gig on Pop Team Epic's anime adaptation as the English voice of Adult Joseph, the Guilty Gear parody announcer, and one of the scene transitions that say the show's title.
- What Could Have Been: When Ironmouse interviewed Joey on her "Speak of the Devil" program, he revealed that he tried to audition for Nijisanji two years prior. He even auditioned for the Japanese branch as well but he didn't make it.
