  • In Memoriam: The elephant episodes are dedicated to Keenan's late grandmother, who enjoyed elephants and shared her passion with him.
  • Meaningful Release Date: The episode focused on the Jurassic Island comes out on June 11th, 2023. That is the 30th anniversary of when Jurassic Park came out to theaters.
  • Science Marches On: The group of herbivorous Dinosaurs that took the place of Hadrosaurs were originally called Parksosaurs, since at the time Parksosaurs were originally believed to be a basal Ornithopod distinct from Thescelosaurs. Once latter discoveries disprove this claim, the modern Parksosaur claims were retconned into either Thescelosaurs or elasmerians
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Keenan had explored different clades that would evolve into Kaimere's dragons before settling on derived Therocephalians. As shown in this post. In 2015 they were pterosaurs descended from Dsungaripterus, and in 2016 they were the descendants of Scansoriopterygid (a branch of gliding wing dinosaurs).
    • The Silent Ones were originally intended to be Homunculu created from human and Bat DNA. However, their origins were changed to be descendants of derived Tetrapod from the early harvests.
    • The end of the Tyrant Dynasty episode reveals the original iteration of Kaimere had famous dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops unchanged since the Cretaceous. However, while developing the project, Keenan realized there would have to be a strong suspension of disbelief that such animals would remain unchanged for tens of millions of years. Initially giving the late Cretaceous giants larger and more derived forms, he eventually chose to have mesofaunas like megaraptors and thescelosaurs take over as the largest dinosaurs in modern Kaimere. At the same time, the designs for derived megafauna were used for close relatives in the Tyrant Dynasty.
